Great Intro to What the Denali Area Has To Offer - What a better way to get an introduction with a taste of what the Denali area has to offer than Black Diamond Resort's horse drawn covered wagon tour. It was all about the animals from the time my ride to dinner led by Clydesdale Cake and Belgian American Rustin led by O'Dell arrived to take us to the pavilion for our family style dinner with our wagon mates. Along the way, our guide Alison was so knowledgeable that you would never have guessed she was a newcomer to the job. When we arrived to the pavilion for dinner, imagine big bowls of potato salad, cole slaw, pasta salad and corn bread to start. Follow that up with vegetarian chili and grilled corn on the cob. Finally bbq ribs, baked chicken, and grilled Alaskan salmon before fresh berry dessert. Definitely come hungry which we were after the long drive from Anchorage. After an opportunity for pics with our 4-legged friends, I got my first sighting of a mama moose and her baby on our way back that just made my day. Upon returning, got to spend time with their resident new kids on the block.

Wonderful, Relaxing Adventure! - We had a lovely evening! The wagon ride was so fun, and the dinner was delicious!! We met some great people in our group, and even our two teen boys (16, 17) enjoyed themselves. Our tour guide, Andy, was very enthusiastic and informative. This is an experience I would definitely recommend.

An old Pittsburgh couple says "Take this ride and dinner!" - Nick and Tyra did a great job giving us a tour of the land with many stories and a history of the area, and information about the horses. They are both very friendly and informative, as well as helpful! The ride was nice, the scenery great; the food was wonderful, could just use larger servings of the meats. Overall we loved it, and highly recommend it.

A blast from the past - This was a fun and unique experience. The wagon ride was more comfortable than l expected. Our guide Allie was super friendly and entertaining and Odell handled the horses with confidence. Our dinner was good and filling. Outstanding potato salad and macaroni salad! The only negative is they don’t want to disclose their recipes of the above mentioned. 😆

Excellent! - The tour was so great! Especially with children and little ones. We had a great time on the wagon and our guide was so great. The dinner was delicious! We went on 2 dinner excursions with them not realizing it was the same dinner but were glad we did!

Wagon Ride would do again! - Ally and Kiara were great. Lots of personality. One customer, outside of our group was a pain and giving Ally a hard time and she was polite the entire time. Not sure I would have been! Wagon ride was fun, horses were well cared for. Again, food not wonderful, but it was the experience and sites that we went for. Great time with 4 adults!

Covered Wagon Tour Denali - My husband and I did the covered wagon tour. It was the best day weather we had in the entire week. The tour was okay; we rode for about 40 minutes then ate. They served a meal that was nice to have with others. The horses were well behaved and the views were amazing!

Great wagon ride and staff. Food was okay. - Went on the covered wagon ride and dinner. Nora and Lexi were great tour guides and were very pleasant and knowledgeable. They made it pretty entertaining. Chuck and Rex were excellent tour guides and beautiful horses. I really wanted to enjoy the food but it wasn’t the highlight of the trip. It was a great little wagon ride to the cabin where they serve the food. We saw a sliver of sunset at 10:30 at night through the clouds on our way back to the bus and the scenery was beautiful. The bus driver was great too. I think her name was Sherri.
