Phu Tho - Departing early in the morning from Hanoi, a tour guide and a car will pick you up at our office at 7.00 am and we will depart for Mu Cang Chai along Lang Hoa Lac Highway and Road 32.
After more than 2 hours, stop to rest at Thanh Son tea plantation in Phu Tho. Here, on both sides of the road are the immense tea fields. You can visit the tea plantation and take some photos.
Tu Le Valley - Continue to follow the road 32 with stunning scenery on both sides, especially along the distance from Nghia Lo to Tu Le. At the gate of Mu Cang Chai, the car will follow a small path leading you to a beautiful small village located on the bank of a stream in Lim Mong valley. The homestay owner in the village will welcome you into their house. Have lunch and take a rest.
Mu Cang Chai - In the afternoon, we will start visiting the village and learn about the simple and close-to-nature life here. Walk gently along the stream bank and along the fields to visit Lim Mong, Lim Thai villages, then return to It Thai village.
Enjoy the dinner prepared by the Thai’s ingenuity with signature dishes such as colored sticky rice, grilled chicken/duck, dried meat, Seng Cu rice. After dinner, enjoy the colorful Xoe dances of Thai people.
Your accommodation is provided by a local family in their traditional house-on-stilts. There’s no private room and you’ll sleep on the floor in a large communal area. The sleeping corner is set up with a single mattress (thin, but adequate), blankets (ditto), pillow and mosquito net. The restroom is at international standard and a few steps from the main house.
Private stilt house is available in case you want more privacy. Please check with our travel consultant for its availability and surcharge fee.
Full day of local life experiences(handicraft workshop, light trekking to Huoi Tieng Quai & BBQ dinner)
Lim Mong Village - Starting with a craft workshop either indigo dyeing or beeswax painting or bamboo weaving. These may be things that in other lands have gradually disappeared with the development of the modern world, but for the local people of Mu Cang Chai, they still maintain these traditional ways in their daily lives.
In the afternoon, explore the Huoi Tieng Qoai nodding bamboo forest. Starting from It Thai village, going up to Xe Xang 1 and then going deeply into the mountain, we will have the opportunity to meet Thai and H’mong families who still depend entirely on agriculture and forest products. Walk to visit the natural nodding bamboo forest and then return to the starting point by following the back of the mountain. However, instead of returning right back to the homestay, you will stop at a hill where a BBQ dinner is being prepared for you to have dinner while admiring the sunset.
Return to the homestay, relax after a day with an herbal foot soak.
