Begin your adventure from Mad Monkey Hanoi, where you can connect with fellow travelers on a 6-7 hour bus journey to Ha Giang city. Du Gia - DAY 1: (~100km) Ha Giang – Du Gia (B,L,D)
Start your day with breakfast at 7:30 am, then set off at 8:30 am. Travel along winding roads to Bac Sum Pass, where sharp turns and breathtaking views await. Explore a newly opened route, a hidden treasure since the pandemic, offering stunning landscapes. Weather permitting, take a 700-meter trek to swim at Khau Lan Waterfall.
Next, visit a coffee shop with panoramic views at Heaven’s Gate, then hike to a viewpoint to admire the Fairy Hills and Tam Son’s rice fields and mountains. Enjoy lunch in Tam Son at noon.
In the afternoon, cycle past Duong Thuong Village, home to the H’mong people. Arrive at your destination by late afternoon and end the day with dinner at a local homestay, featuring the North’s renowned “Happy Water” beer.
DAY 2: (~120km) Du Gia - Mau Due-Meo Vac – Dong Van (B,L,D)
Dong Van - Visit a former French military post to capture photos of the surrounding area. After another fifteen kilometers, pause at a coffee shop to enjoy a beautiful landscape featuring terraced rice fields and stunning layers of rocky limestone mountains.
Lunch will be in Meo Vac town at 12:00 p.m.
Next, embark on a boat trip to admire the breathtaking scenery of the Nho Que River and the magnificent beauty of Tu San Alley, known as the deepest canyon in Southeast Asia. As you travel along the river, experience one of Vietnam’s most beautiful passes: Ma Pi Leng Pass, also known as “The Road of Happiness,” along National Road 4C.
Before reaching Dong Van district, stop to enjoy the panoramic views from the Sky Walk, one of the highest points on Ma Pi Leng Pass.
At night, stay locally in the area, allowing you to fully appreciate the scenery rather than just passing through.
DAY 3: (~140km) Dong Van - Yen Minh- Nam Dam (B , L ,D)

After breakfast, head southeast to the Vietnam-China border, where the guide will share fascinating local stories. Stop at Thien Huong Village, nearly 200 years old, before continuing to the Lung Cu Flag Pole for a short hike and stunning photos of the area.
Lunch will be in Lo Lo Chai Village, known for its traditional clay houses of the H’mong people.
Afterward, visit the H’mong King’s Palace to learn about the tribe’s history and culture. Also, stop at Tham Ma Pass to capture photos of its unique geosites and impressive cliffs, with a “try not to fall” challenge for bikers!
Before reaching Nam Dam Village, enjoy a coffee break at Can Ty Pass, offering panoramic views of the Nam Dam community-based cultural village, an untouched gem showcasing the natural beauty and cultural heritage of the Dao people.
End the day with a delicious dinner and overnight stay in Nam Dam Village.
Day 4: (~100km ) Nam Dam -Quan Ba- Ha Giang ( B,L,D )
Quan Ba - Start the day with a 4-kilometer hike to Lung Khuy Cave, helping you burn approximately 326 calories and work off some of last night’s meal. The area around the cave features a stunning karst landscape, including peaks, dolines, hanging valleys, and travertine terraces, all situated at an elevation of 850 to 1,100 meters above sea level. As you explore the cave, you’ll be serenaded by the soothing melody of water dripping from the ceiling.
After burning those calories, it will be time for lunch in Quan Ba District to replenish your energy before heading back to Ha Giang.
