- Þyrilsnes - We will meet at the historic Hvalfjordur fjord - en route you will pass some noticeable interests along the way and drive through the beautiful countryside. The road we take is the old road that people would take when heading north but now there is a tunnel underneath the fjord - causing much less traffic and a tranquil environment…

The road we take is the old road that people would take when heading north but now there is a tunnel underneath the fjord - causing much less traffic and a tranquil environment just a short drive from Reykjavik.
When you arrive your guide will have prepared the equipment for you and go through any safety procedures necessary. Then a short introduction to SUP for any of those a bit rusty or if it’s your first time.
You’ll be on the water with your guide for more or less 2 hours but this is weather dependent and peoples fitness levels.
Ultimately reaching land and then carry on your way - weather you are heading for the ring road - hike up Glymur - Hvammsvík Nature Baths or simply back to Reykjavik.

Embark on a stand up paddle board journey in Iceland’s secluded and majestic Hvalfjordur Fjord. Take advantage of the opportunity to paddle on the broad Atlantic Ocean and soak in the tranquility of the fjord as you absorb the gentle whispers of Icelandic nature. Hvalfjordur offers an ideal setting for observing wildlife such as seals and eagles, and with a bit of luck, you might witness a whale’s visit. No previous SUP expertise is required for this 2-3 hour guided adventure, and all the necessary equipment is supplied. This tour caters to private groups ranging from 1 to 12 participants.

- Be comfortable in water and able to swim
- Be minimum 12 years of age, please contact us regarding young participants
- Be at minimum 145cm (4’7) tall / maximum 200cm (6’6) tall
- Be at minimum 45kg (99 lbs) / maximum 120kg (264 lbs)
- All participants must be able to communicate in English
