Pondok Tanggui, Camp Leakey - The Oldest Feeding Camp and Galdikas Houses
Tanjung Puting National Park - After breakfast, board the klotok for a two-hour journey upriver, then navigate a side creek to reach Camp Leakey, where older orangutans are reintroduced into the rainforest. On the way, stop at Pondok Tanggui, a rehabilitation center for newly ex-captive orangutans. At Camp Leakey, trek into the rainforest with your expert guide and forestry rangers to explore the flora and possibly spot wild orangutans, gibbons, macaques, and birds. Lunch is provided on the boat. In the afternoon, visit the feeding station to see rehabilitated orangutans receiving additional food. Sail back down the river to spend the night on the boat.
