Wonderful Experience with Hiro - We loved the time we got to spend with Hiro in Kamakura. He was so personable and helped our son practice his Japanese that he has been studying on Duolingo. We loved hearing about Hiro’s home, his family and his grandchildren. Hiro met us at Kamakura station and he was prepared with materials he put together to customize the itinerary based on what we wanted to see. We all decided that we really wanted to see the beach and visit Enoshima island nearby. Hiro took the time to teach us a lot about Shinto and Buddhist practices in Japan. He also took us to a local Japanese restaurant where we sat at the floor-level table and had a traditional lunch. Overall out time with Hiro was a highlight of our family adventure in Japan and highly recommended!!

A Fantastic Day in Kamakura - We had a fantastic day in Kamakura with our guide Isao. He picked us up at our hotel in Yokohama and escorted us on subway and trains to Engaku-ji, a beautiful shrine in Kit-Kamakura. We loved the history he shared, took lots of photos and had tea in a lovely garden. It was great to spend as much time as we wanted at the shrine and hike around. Then on to a delicious lunch at a small family restaurant in Kamakura, followed by visit to the Great Budda. Isao brought us back to our hotel after a lovely day. Thank you so much Isao, we enjoyed the tour and meeting you so much. Susan & John

A Great Day in Kamakura - We had a wonderful 4 hour tour of Kamakura with our guide Isao. He was so informative and took us to the sites we wanted to see, the Great Budda and the Engaku-ji shrine, as well as to an excellent restaurant as we had requested. He explained to us the history and importance of the sites and gave us a great experience. I highly recommend taking a tour with Isao. He met us at our hotel in Yokohama and took us by subway and train to Kita-Kamakura, then on into Kamakura itself. and back to our hotel at the end of a great day. We loved our trip to Japan and hope to return sometime to explore more.

SUMPTUOUS - Very particular giant Buddha statue, so much so that if you want you can also visit it inside. This bronze statue is also very suggestive due to the context in which it is placed and it even resisted the tsunami that hit the temple in which it was placed and has been outdoors ever since.

Highly recommended - One of the best walking tours we did! It was customized to our need, we visited the samurai and geisha districts and both were wonderful. The highlight of the tour was our guide Sachi! She was super nice, we learned a lot from her and she showed us small locations that are usually easy to miss by tourists. Highly recommended

Kamakura in Bloom - My family of five (my 70+ year old parents, husband, tween boy, and myself) booked a four-hour Kamakura tour with Yasuho. Prior to the trip, we had a few emails to ensure we got to visit the places we wanted to visit. We arrived during peak cherry blossom season, so there were crowds; but, it was also a beautiful time. Having a dedicated guide for our little family (instead of booking with a big tour group) helped us to easily navigate through this busy season. Yasuho was knowledgeable, accommodating, and kind. He was able to point things out and share information that I wouldn't have known if we went on our own.

A day I hoped for - It started with a beautiful day in Yokohama. Perhaps it was our lucky day to have our tour guide An to show us how wonderful it is the beautiful side of Japan, not only in the city landscape. She is great, patient, and wonderful. We had a great visit in Kamakura . We enjoyed all the attractions that she showed us and more. It was a fantastic day in the slow motion seeing the beautiful landscape and culture aspects. One scoop of green tea ice cream gave us a happy ending. I sincerely appreciated An’s efforts to make a day so enjoyable in this our short visit!!!!
