Kampala - Come, let us show you the real Kampala city during this day tour, the bustling capital of Uganda with a population of over two million sitting at the shores of Lake Victoria. Kampala is a colorful city with a mix of people and different ways of life. In several places, 360 degrees views are offered since the city is originally built on seven hills, even-though it has now grown bigger.
We start our Kampala city tour from your hotel in the morning with a private car to get around (but can be a public taxi depending on your preference). Using public transport adds an extra experience to the city tour as you get closer to life here by using the communal matatus / common taxis.
During the tour, we shall begin exploring highlights of the city like the old taxi park, crafts market, Gaddafi mosque, Namirembe cathedral, markets and night life as you learn about the Ugandan culture. This city tour of Kampala lets you get a true taste of the city of Kampala!

Join us on this day-long exploration of the vibrant city of Kampala, the heart of Uganda. Our journey begins in the morning from your hotel. We’ll be navigating the city in a private car, although you could choose public taxi or even walk, if you prefer. Opting for public transport can offer a deeper connection to the local life as we’ll be using communal ‘matatus’ or shared taxis.
The tour includes visits to the city’s key landmarks including the independence monument, gorilla monument, the old taxi park, city arcades, downtown Kampala, craft markets, Gaddafi mosque, Namirembe cathedral, and you’ll get a glimpse of the nightlife while gaining insights into the Ugandan culture.
Being a half-day tour, we’ll also treat you to a traditional local meal at a local restaurant. Get a taste of ‘Luwombo’, a local delicacy, as well as homemade ‘Uganda rolex’, local gin and experience a ride on a ‘boda boda’.
