What an exciting experience - What an experience!! If you're looking for an independent (and customizable) trip to Rwanda or Uganda, look no further than Monumental expeditions and safaris. Jonan is the most responsive owner/manager you could ever hope to work with. We bundled a few tours together starting in Rwanda (Akagera & Volcanos NP) then flew to EBB for a fly in/out to Kidepo. Both guides (Kenneth & Jorum ) picked us up at designated times, modified schedules if we requested and took amazing care of us. At the last minute (literally), we decided to add a night at Murchison Falls. Jonan arranged for Jorum to drive us there (which is a grueling 6 hours) and changed our flight to EBB from a Kidepo pick up to MFNP pick up. Who does that within a 24 hour window??? While we never met Jonan in person, he communicated via WhatsAp and by phone. The most telling piece about Jonan is the fact that his guides love working for him. This speaks volumes about a boss. Thanks again the entire monumental team

An excellent roadtrip to remember - My friend Francie booked this trip on a short notice but the company complied promptly and we got a very good experience. The stops are well selected and the driver guide “NASA” was so knowledgeable with grate passion in what he does. I personally loved the local food and fruits that we had for lunch plus the relaxation on the boat! I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a one day experience from Kampala

Great day out at the source of the Nile! - I can strongly recommend this trip! We were picked up in the morning by Nasser, and taken to a waterfall with breakfast en-route; it was great to hear about traditional Bugandan cultural beliefs and practices whilst visiting these revered sites. We then headed to Jinja where we had lunch, and then took a boat ride out to the source of the Nile river; I got to briefly swim at that point (current is very strong so one has to stay close to a hut anchored there). One thing to be aware of is that getting in and out of Kampala involves getting through quite heavy traffic, so some patience with that is going to be required; but see it as another cultural experience and you'll be fine!

Amazing Solo Experience! - I booked this tour last minute (the day before) and was able to get in contact with the tour guide (Nasser) immediately and he was very accommodating. As a woman doing this tour solo, I was at first a bit nervous but Nasser made me feel very comfortable and safe. As a tour guide, he did a phenomenal job explaining everything, answering my questions, and also taking some AMAZING photos. Even though I was on my own, Nasser and everyone we met along the way was still super engaging, welcoming, and accommodating. This excursion was so memorable and I would highly recommend it to others!

THE TRIP WAS SUCCESSFUL AND INTERESTING. - The trip was very successful and interesting. The guide was competent, very nice and cheerful. However, there are also some small disadvantages. The car was not marked and we did not really know if it was our transport and the right one. driver . During the ride, unfortunately, we had to ask many times to close the windows and turn on the air conditioning (we were driving in a traffic jam and it stank of exhaust fumes) The air conditioning wasn't quite working either, it was hot in the back seats. As for the trip, there were moments when we were left to our own devices. To board the boat (a cruise on Lake Victoria) we arrived at the settlement on the lake. Not knowing the customs or the local people we didn't feel safe when the guide left us at the car and went somewhere. Then another man approached us and said that we should get on the boat. It was only after a long while that our guide appeared. We didn't feel safe then. The rest of the trip went smoothly and was much more enjoyabl. 😁We consider the entire trip a success and appreciate the efforts of our guide. The thrill of emotions will remain in memory 😁
