Kathmandu to Pokhara (823m/2,700ft): 5 - 6 hours drive
Thamel - The journey begins here, where you will meet your trekking guide and receive a briefing about your trek. After breakfast, you will head to Pokhara.
Thankot - A well-known picnic spot and tourist hub in the Kathmandu Valley, located on the way to Pokhara.
Manakamana Temple - A revered spiritual temple in Nepal, believed to fulfill the wishes of its visitors.
Pokhara - Today, travel to the adventure hub of Nepal, the stunning city of Pokhara, on a scenic drive. Enjoy breathtaking views of lush valleys, green hills, terraced landscapes, and winding rivers. The picturesque Pokhara valley welcomes travelers with its glittering mountains, beautiful landscapes, numerous lakes, and a pleasant climate. Upon arrival at the airport, you will be escorted to your hotel. Explore the vibrant Lakeside area, which embraces modern life while preserving traditional heritage through artifacts and souvenirs.
Pokhara to Jhinu Danda (1,760m/5,770ft) via Nayapul(1,070m/3,510ft): 2 and a half hours drive and 3 hours trek
Naya Pul - Begin the trek in this beautiful landscape, heading to Jhinu Danda, known for its natural hot springs. The trek starts with a drive to Nayapul, the starting point for treks in the Annapurna region. This hour-and-a-half drive takes you through remote settlements, alongside rushing rivers, temples, and mountain views.
Jhinu Danda - After reaching Nayapul, trek to Jhinu Danda along the Modi River. Heading north, ascend gradually past the small settlement of Chandrakot, following the trail with the Modi River on your left, and turn right to reach Pritam Deurali. Trek through flagstone steps near Tolga, descend to Landruk village past suspension bridges, religious monuments, and smaller settlements. Cross a bridge, climb uphill along the Modi River, descend to the confluence of the Modi and Kimrong Rivers, and gently ascend to Jhinu Danda. Explore the natural hot springs at the base of the ridge.
Jhinu Danda to Bamboo (2,310m/7,578ft): 5-6 hours
Chhomrong - This 6-hour trek begins from Jhinu Danda, through terraces on a steep path to Chhomrong village, past Nayagaon. Cross the Chhomrong River via a stone staircase, then climb to the ridge above the Modi River.
Sinuwa - Traverse through bamboo forests, terraced fields, smaller settlements, and a rough trail to reach Siruwa village.
Bamboo to Deurali (3,230m/10,595ft): 3 - 4 hours
Dovan - Enjoy a short trek to prepare for the ascent to Annapurna Base Camp. Cross a stream, then follow a trail with a gradual climb past rhododendron and oak forests to reach Dovan.
Deurali - After trekking steep sections and crossing a waterfall, reach the Himalaya hotel. The trail opens to stunning views of the Modi River and surrounding landscape. Continue on a steep trail to Hinku cave, where Deurali village is visible. Ascend to Deurali after about 45 minutes. Notice the sparser vegetation and rockier terrain as the difficulty increases.
Deurali to Annapurna Base Camp (4,130m/13,545ft) via Machhapuchhre Base Camp (3,700m/12,135ft): 5- 6 hours
Machhapuchhare Base Camp - The highlight of the Annapurna region trek awaits as you reach Annapurna Base Camp via Machhapuchhre Base Camp. Start with a gentle climb over a steep trail, passing Bagar, then continue on challenging terrain to Machhapuchhre Base Camp. Enjoy views of Fishtail Mountain, Hiuchuli, Annapurna South, Annapurna I, Annapurna III, Gagapurna, and more.
Annapurna Base Camp Trek - Depart from the Modi River, where vegetation thins and the path widens, turning right towards Annapurna Base Camp. Upon arrival, marvel at the unobstructed view of towering Annapurna. Enjoy an overnight stay in this remarkable spot, savoring the breathtaking Himalayan views.
Annapurna Base Camp to Bamboo: 7 - 8 hours
Annapurna Mountain Range - Depart the stunning landscape at the base of Annapurna Mountain and return to Bamboo. Follow the trail alongside the Modi River on a relatively easy downhill path. Start the day with a beautiful sunrise over the Himalayas. Pass through avalanche-prone areas, Dovan and Deurali settlements, rhododendron and bamboo forests at lower elevations, and cross a wooden bridge before reaching Bamboo.
Bamboo to Jhinu Danda (1,760m/5,770 ft): 5 - 6 hours
Tadapani - Beyond Sinuwa, pass through Tilche and Chhomrong settlements, cross a bridge and steep stone steps to reach Taulung village, which has a trail junction leading to Landruk, Tadhapani, and Kot Danda.
Jhinu Danda Hot spring - After about an hour, reach Jhinu Danda. Explore the surroundings and relax in the natural hot springs.
Jhinu Danda to Pokhara(823m/2,700ft): 5-6 hours
Pokhara Lakeside - With views of the Himalayas and lush hills, trek down from Jhinu Danda to the Modi Khola valley via New Bridge. Enjoy the sight of serpentine rivers, stone staircases, hillside trails, farms, wooden and suspension bridges, and traditional houses as you descend to lower elevations with wider valleys and larger fields. The mountain views accompany you alongside greenery, cultivation, and lush hills and valleys until reaching Nayapool, marking the end of the physical trek. From there, drive to the beautiful lake city of Pokhara. Explore the natural amphitheater of Pokhara, Phewa Lake, and bustling Lake Side.
Pokhara to Kathmandu: 5 - 6 hours drive
Kathmandu - Depart the Annapurna region trekking destination and drive back from Pokhara valley on a scenic 5-6 hour journey. Enjoy views of the majestic Himalayas, hills, valleys, terraced fields, and vast landscapes as you reach the medieval capital city of Kathmandu. Proceed to your hotel.
Kathmandu Durbar Square - If time permits, go souvenir shopping to bring memories back to your loved ones. Explore the stone-paved areas of the royal palace at Kathmandu Durbar Square, the bustling streets of Thamel, and the surrounding areas.
Departure Day
TIA - This marks the official conclusion of the short yet enriching trek to one of the world’s most popular trekking destinations. You will be transferred to Tribhuwan International Airport at least three hours before your flight. Our Annapurna Base Camp Short Trek begins after you arrive in Kathmandu and catch a 30-minute flight to the beautiful lake city of Pokhara the very next day. During the first few days of this trek we pass through beautiful landscapes, rhododendron forests, waterfalls, and culturally reach Gurung villages as we visit Jhinu Danda, Bamboo, Deurali and Machhapuchre Base Camp; we finally reach Annapurna Base Camp at an altitude of 4,130 meters above sea level. As you arrive at Annapurna Base Camp, you will feel like you’ve entered into a different world; surrounded on all sides by beautiful Himalayan peaks. Then we follow the same route back towards Pokhara before flying to Kathmandu.
