Classical Everest Base Camp trek was an amazing experience - We had an amazing trek with Ace the Himalaya! We did the classical Everest Base Camp trek and everything went very smoothly. The company did a very good job at detailing everything we would need and should be aware of before the start of the hike, and we felt pretty prepared going into it because of their diligence. Our tour guide Nima and our porters Biroj and Tek were excellent - we would happily do another trek with them. Nima was very knowledgeable on the route, terrain, and towns that we stopped in. He knew just when to encourage us to push through the hard sections (mainly Gokyo Ri and Cho La Pass) but also made sure we were pacing ourselves so we wouldn't be overexerted over the 17 days. We would highly recommend Nima and the company for anyone doing treks in the Himalayas!

Highly recommend the EBC/Gokyo trek and Ace the Himalaya! - This was my third trek in Nepal but the first time I've been part of a small group: We had four trekkers expertly guided by Nimesh Nepal, and Bigyan and Bishal were our extremely helpful porters. We traveled in late Oct/early Nov, and the weather was perfect. The Himalayas are amazing, and Nimesh, Bigyan, and Bishal brought the trip to the next level with their warm, friendly guidance and support. Of particular note for me: I experienced issues with one of my eyes when we reached Namche Bazaar, and the team helped me to navigate getting it attended to in a timely manner. As soon as I decided that I should see an ophthalmologist, Nimesh went into action and coordinated with my travel insurance provider along with the Ace the Himalayas staff. Within eight hours, I was back in Kathmandu seeing a local ophthalmologist who advised that I head back to the US for follow-up care. Everything turned out fine in the end, and it was good that I headed home to get treatment for the vitreous hemorrhage with some retina involvement. Yes, the views really are eye-popping, especially for us older, near-sighted trekkers. :-) My trek was cut short this time, but when I return to Nepal, I'll be calling Ace the Himalayas!

Amazing experience with best guides and porters - First time to Nepal and had the best experience of summiting Everest Base Camp. Our guide Kishore, assistant guide Sauman and all the porters made this trip very special. Kishore and Sauman were always happy to answer any questions we had and both are very knowledgeable about the Himalayan ranges . The porters took care of every aspects of the trek and I am super impressed with them. Every meal was served by them with a smile and they all went out other way to make sure we had the best experience. Thank you Ace the Himalaya team, Kishore, Sauman and all the porters !!

Flexible tour, incredible views and a great crew! - Going in off-peak season was one of the best times to do this tour! Sashata Neupane was our guide and was so flexible in our itinerary. It ended up being just my partner and I in the Gokyo group but we latched onto the Everest base camp group to do that first with more people and then do the Gokyo loop anti-clockwise. Everest base camp is obviously a huge achievement, but the route to and in Gokyo far exceeded that of EBC. Both Sashata and Sher babadur stha (our porter) were so helpful throughout the tour. Making sure we were well fed, drinking enough water and going at a good pace relative to altitude. There were some trickier parts on the Gokyo route, but both Sashata and Sher were well experienced and helped me through them! The challenge was worth it with spectacular weather, and we were even able to walk back to Lukla faster and have our flight changed to be one day earlier to get back to Kathmandu.

EBC and Gokyo trek - Sashata - My girlfriend and I did the Everest Basecamp and Gokyo trek with Sashata Neupane, and Sher Babadur Stha. Throughout the experience Sashata was very professional and accomodating We went at the end of the main season so there was no one else in our group for the trek but there was a group of three doing the Everest Basecamp only. Sashata was very kind and facilitated the trek so that we were able to be with the group of three for the first part of our trek and then venture off in our smaller group toward Gokyo. This was great for our experience as we got to make new friends and also seemed to make the Cho La pass easier. Sashata also was very helpful with my girlfriend when it came to symptoms of AMS and stomach issues. He was able to aid in the recovery of both of these issues quickly. He also went above and beyond by helping cook lunch’s along the way at restaurants that we stopped at when they were short staffed.

An adventurous hike with my girls in magnificent Himalayan ranges!!!! - What a fantastic itinerary out together by Ace team. It was customized for our group as we decided to go through the super scenic Gokyo lake route to EBC and chopper on our way back... extremely beautiful place, very knowledgeable guides, very helpful porters and Nepalese hospitality was very warm. It was a dream come true for me to hike in these magnificent mountains ranges and make beautiful memories. Thank you Ace, Kishore( our fabulous guide), Sauman ( our fabulous assistant guide) and the people that made this bucketlist hike for me happen.

Himalayan Treasure - The Gokyo Loop to Everest Base Camp with Ace the Himalaya is a top notch trip in terms of support, beauty and experience. This is a great way to meet your “tribe.” Plenty of other trekkers to meet in the tea houses and on the trail. The Nepali people are incredible, especially the ones who support you on the journey. The office staff is great with information and logistics. Sunil, the guide, is top of the guides I’ve had on other treks in other countries. His character and personality allow him to interact and lead well, adapting to situations as they come. His enthusiasm was amazing, and really kept us going. He found ways to treat and reward us in little ways that meant a lot. My words don’t match his worth. Dilliab and Ravi were incredible porters that served beyond their job description. Every day of the trek holds beauty. Beauty with challenge, so you feel the effort is well worth it. Thank you!

My review of The Gokyo - Chola Pass - Everest Base Camp Trek. Booked through Ace the Himalaya. Our Guide - Mr. Sunil Neupane an - This was my first trek in Nepal. I would highly recommend Ace the Himalayas as a trekking company in Nepal for all treks. They are highly professional and work in a very transparent manner. I booked my Gokyo - Chola Pass - Everest Base Camp trek through them. I got to know that I was in a group of total 3 trekkers. We had a pre trek briefing before the trek and we were well informed about each and everything we would be required to do over the next couple of weeks. It also there we met our guide Mr. Sunil Neupane. We call him 'Sunil Dai' now. I have been on many other treks previously before, but never have I come across a guide as good as Sunil. He was literally everytime there for us. He made sure we had all our meals, kept enquiring about our health, checked our oxygen regularly, always was cheerful to us and kept us highly motivated throughout the trek. He made sure to look after our smallest of inconveniences. Even on the trail he made sure everyone was at their own pace and no one felt left out. He is a very well informed guide and on the trek I got to know that he has more than 15 years of trekking experience. I can very easily say that it was only because of him we were able to complete our trek very easily without any complications or any medical emergencies. He is very familiar with the entire route and has an excellent understanding of the route changes and the weather changes. He also has an excellent knowledge about the entire region and it's history, and used to alwyas tell about all the amazing facts about the places we crossed. He made sure we were carrying enough gear in our day packs, had enough water for the entire day etc. He also used to keep a track of how much water each person was drinking, which kept us hydrated well on the trek. Simply it was an amazing trek because of him. Also, I would like to mention about one of our porters Mr. Dilip. Who I would say is a very kind hearted and caring person. He was also always present during our time in the teahouses and all our meals, made sure we had our food properly and always offered to fill our bottles to make sure we always had adequate water. Personally he also helped me a lot on the trickier sections on the trek and also used to accompany us on the the acclimatization day hikes. I also got to know him better and we played many games on the trek like cards and chess. Both of them are a gem of a person and went out of the way to make sure we were always okay and doing good. I would always want to go on my all future treks with Mr. SUNIL Dai as our guide and trek leader. Kudos to Ace The Himalaya team for organizing such an excellent trek and for their superb management. They have an amazing team and a good thing going altogether. Would definitely love to come back to Nepal🇳🇵 as soon as possible for more future treks and enriching experiences.

Everest base camp trek by golly lakes - Most amazing trip of my life!! I went for a solo hiking trip to Nepal without any expectations but ended up being the best decision I’ve ever made. My guide sushan was amazing definitely recommend him loads of experience and knowledge about the mountains. He helped me on every point on the trek and I felt more than welcome to his country. Definitely coming back to Nepal for another trek and will most definitely take sushan as my guide again.

Fantastic experience & great company - We just completed the 17 day EBC & 3 Passes Trek, with our outstanding guide Tej and champion porter Rono. Our entire experience with Ace the Himalaya has been fantastic - from our initial briefing with Prem at their office premises (and any questions we had were promptly answered), right through arranging a chopper when the weather closed in at Lukla (and starting the Trek on time!). Meeting Tej & Rono at Lukla was a seamless experience, and after a quick bite of lunch we were off. Due to my partner not being well (head cold & minor chest infection) - our brilliant guide Tej stuck with him for the majority of the hike, due to his slower pace (and also carried his pack at certain steep parts). His commitment (as well as Rono, our porter) to me, whilst going over the 3 Passes was superb! Making sure the right pace was kept & stopping when needed for breaks. The food & accommodation along the way were chosen very well and were more comfortable than those of other companies. We commented many times throughout the hike that we were glad we had chosen Ace the Himalaya as our tour company. Outstanding in every facet, with the resources to back everything up (even the many unexpected things that did crop up!). Nothing showed this more than our celebratory dinner once back in Kathmandu! Sujan was there to present us with certificates of our Trek and the entire evening was magical - from the great food to the live music (and dancing!). We have already started talking about another hike in Nepal and there is no question in our minds that we will be choosing Ace the Himalaya as our trekking company again - 100%!!! Another shout out to our guide Tej & porter Rono - I cannot praise these two highly enough for a magical hike! Should they get the coveted end of year award? Oh yes, 100% and then some! See you in the future for another hike! Rob Beenhakker
