Gokyo Lakes Trek with guide Nimesh and porters Lochan and Bishaal - I had an amazing time on the Ace the Himalayas Gokyo Lakes Trek with Nimesh. From the moment I landed at the airport, took the travelator downstairs (try it!) and received a garland of flowers, I knew this would be something special. Nimesh, our guide, and Sujan, who oversees operations for Ace, are fantastic hosts and very welcoming and patient. Make no mistake, this is a physically challenging trip for anyone, so make sure to train for weeks before you go and also make sure to follow the packing recommendations. You can also make last second buys in Kathmandu and Namche and other places but the items aren’t as good as you will get from home. Once the trek begins, you are basically walking up (with some down) and up and up and up. I took it slow and Nimesh was so supportive, staying with me closely and occasionally carrying my pack. As the air gets thinner and the trek gets harder, you want someone like Nimesh helping you out. Meanwhile, Lochan and Bishaal were supporting us by carrying our gear from town to town. They are super nice guys and clearly know the trail well. I decided to leave in Gokyo to head back down but my companion completed the entire trek up and over Renjo La Pass. It’s hard but worth it to see the views. I loved seeing 3 of the world’s 6 tallest mountains in the world with my own eyes and walking in their shadow is awe inspiring. The scale and size of the Himalayas will leave you blown away. Nepalese people are the nicest and most welcoming I’ve ever met. If you push yourself beyond what you think you’re capable of, you’ll be rewarded with amazing views and sights and cultural experiences. I can’t recommend enough Ace the Himalayas and Nimesh and Lochan and Bishaal and Sujan.

Gokyo Valley and Renjo Pass with Nimesh and Bishal - My trek with Ace to Gokyo Lakes and Renjo Pass was outstanding. The scenery was out of this world. The accommodations were always thoughtfully chosen. Everything was incredibly well organized. It was hard work but I felt completely supported. Nimesh was a fun and knowledgeable guide who made perfect adjustments depending on our needs. Bishal, our porter, was special. He didn’t just carry our bags, he was a ray of sunshine and a valued member of our traveling group. I can’t recommend Ace more highly to anyone who wants to do a trek in the Everest region. And it if I am lucky enough to come back, I would absolutely work with them again.

Thanking Nimesh, Gooal and Bishal… - What an experience! If you’re on the fence and considering travelling to Everest region, I would 1000% recommend it. Gokyo Ri was impeccable, filled with amazing views, landscapes and communities. It will forever hold a special place in my heart. We would like to extend our thanks to the Team at Ace the Himalaya, our guide Nimesh, and porters Gopal and Bishal for providing us with the best care. Their warmth, kindness, smiles and generosity reminded us what life is all about.

Wonderful viewpoints in the middle of the biggest mountains - Trekking Tour Lukla-Gokyo-Renjola Pass-Lukla. It was a great experience, so many viewpoints with fantastic views of the world's biggest mountains! The trekking agency organized everything well and allowed us to fly to Lukla despite moderate weather. Ratna, our guide, is very caring and concerned about the well-being and satisfaction of his guests. Our carrier Padem often accompanied us on the way, but was still always ahead of us at the destination. The choice of lodges on the way has pleased us.

Incredible Trek with Ace of Himalayas – Gokyo Ri & Renjo La Pass - We just completed the Gokyo Ri and Renjo La Pass trek with Ace of Himalayas, and honestly, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience! From the start, our guide Nimesh Nepal made us feel completely at ease. He was not only super knowledgeable about the area but also just a genuinely warm and caring person. And fun! He even understood (or pretended to) my jokes)) Nimesh checked in with us constantly, making sure we were comfortable, safe, and, most importantly, enjoying every moment. A huge thanks goes to Gopal, our guide assistant and porter, and Vishal, our porter. These two were absolute heroes! They carried our heavy bags up and down the trails through all altitudes, and they did it with the kind of positivity that kept us all going. Even when the hike was tough, they were always smiling, full of energy, and offering a helping hand when needed (even carried my backpack up to the Renjo La Pass when I was literally giving up). The whole trip was seamless—from the well-thought-out itinerary to the stunning views and the great company. I felt like I could really soak it all in without worrying about logistics or what was next. If you’re looking to do a trek in the Himalayas, I can’t recommend Ace of Himalayas enough. They really care about giving you an unforgettable experience, and they do it with heart. Thank you, Nimesh, Gopal, and Vishal—you made this trek something I’ll remember for the rest of my life!

Gokyo Valley Trek - Amazing views with the amazing guide(Ramesh Karki) and porter(Auishe Rai) They helped me through every step of the way and I couldn't think of a more perfect duo! Also during the trip, there were many landslide which blocked off some of the passages, they didn't hesitate to ensure that I was always in a safe position when transitioning during any difficult places! They were always ensuring my personal safety was never at risk! Will be coming back again for the Annapurna Circuit in future and would love to have them guide me again!

5/5 Gokyo Ri & Renjo La trek with Ace The Himalaya! - Amazing experience with Ace The Himalaya that far exceeded all my expectations. After being in touch with the Ace The Himalaya office (Sujan and Rupesh) prior to booking they provided me with detailed info and answered any questions I had immediately. I felt confident in my choice of trekking provider and route. I did the Gokyo lakes and Renjo pass trek solo, slightly before the main season starts. My guide Madan (Maddy) and porter Jit did an absolutely outstanding job from start to finish, with detailed daily briefings on what’s to come, all in perfect easy to understand English. Ace trekking staff go above and beyond, providing delicious apples after dinner daily, checking blood oxygen levels, and making sure they are available 24/7 for any discomforts or questions. When trekkers on trips with other providers saw this work ethic they actually mentioned “wow, this is 5 star service, best trekking company ever!” If you are planning to trek in Nepal, reach out to Ace The Himalaya, they are absolutely fantastic, zero complaints! Thanks again to Maddy and Jit, you guys rock!

Spectacular views day in, day out - It was a spectacular trek surrounded by 6-8000m+ peaks and decent views of Everest in March/April 2024. Our guide Bishnu was very attentive, took care of everything. He was able to reprogram the route to compensate for a one-day delay in getting a flight into Lukla due to poor visibility. Booking and trip arrangements were very professionally handled by Ace the Himalaya staff in Kathmandu. Be aware that food quality is variable above Namche Bazaar, so is availability of hot water. Grin and bear it, or stay at home.

Amazing trek to Gokyo with Ace the Himalaya - Our experience with Ace the Himalaya from start to finish was exceptional. Sujan was fabulous and helped us plan the trek that was best for our group of 5 people and was always available to answer our many questions along the way. For the trek itself, we could not have had a better guide than Milan, assistant guide Santosh, and porters Sukre and Hira. They took amazing care of us, provided great insight on the area, the people, and culture, and helped all of us achieve our goal of reaching Gokyo. It was an honor to get to know them and spend 10 days trekking with them.
