Additional Information

Mardi Himal is a hidden treasure and an unchartered trekking spot in Nepal. Positioned to the south of one of the most frequented trekking paths - the Annapurna Base Camp route, only a handful of trekkers have ventured on the Mardi trail. This trek could be a favorable pick due to its less populated nature during the peak seasons unlike its counterparts. Encounters with tourists or fellow trekkers are sparse in comparison to other trek routes. The trek’s notable highlights include Mardi Base Camp, the authentic Nepali hamlet of Landruk, the intimate views of the mountains, and the verdant Forest Camp.

Wonderful Marti Himal trek with Ace The Himalayas - Just finished my first trek with Ace. What a terrific experience! My guide, Deepak Neupane, was awesome. I felt totally safe and secure with him leading me. He was responsive to my requests and needs, setting a pace that was comfortable and pointing out features of the amazing landscape as we walked. I hope to try another trek with Ace The Himalayas in the future.

Magical Mardi Himal - A fantastic trip through the jungle / forest on the first 2 days and then up to the view point at sunset for the most amazing views! Our guide Ishwor was amazing, telling us everything about Nepal & really looked after us throughout the whole journey. We experienced more than just the trek. Ishwor showed us the kindness of Nepali people, culture, traditions, and food. We will definitely come back for another adventure!

Mardi Himal wanderful trek. - Mardi Himal trek is a wanderful trek, it not difficult. Each day we walk around 5 to 6 hours. We start the trek from Phedi, trek 4 to 5 hours and stay overnight at Deurali. Next day we start trek to Forest Camp and continue to High Camp. We stay 2 days at High Camp. From here you can view Annanpurna and Machhapuchhre (fishtail). The next day the journey begins early, continue up to an altitude of 4500m to viewpoint and based camp. Enjoy the beautiful mountains and scenery. Next morning we trek down to Sidhing from high camp its take about 6 to 7 hours. From Sidhing take 2 hour drive back to Pokhara and end our trek.

Great company with a great service. You are in good hands! - Excellent trip, well managed by Ace. Ace was very adaptable. You are committing to things far away when you sign up, that you dont know "how does it work." But Ace keeps you informed on what to do and also was able to make changes as was needed. Krish, our guide was FANTASTIC--kind, knowledgeable, client focused, and a leader. He is helpful to we trekkers, the staff at the tea houses, and the porters. He's also charming and funny. I have travelled a lot and found a level of comfort and a sense of "he's got us covered, we are ok and taken care of." Also, like the Ace management, he was adaptable and could make changes as necessary to elements of our hike. He also introduced us to other guides (he seems to know everyone) and they all seemed to be knowledgeable, and client focused. We were lucky to have great weather, making the hike easier, but it is a very accessible hike to anyone who can (and wants to do!) a lot of stairs! The scenery was fantastic and the experience in meeting Nepalese people was rich. We enjoyed all of the conversations and chances to learn about things in Nepal. Great company with a great service.

Adventure of a lifetime - This was my first trek and was so happy that my friend and I chose to go with Ace. It was an adventure of a lifetime, primarily because of the excellent guidance of our guide Krish. He made sure that our group was always safe and was comfortable. He seemed to be working constantly to ensure that we were okay. I loved the opportunity to meet many other trekkers, especially the Nepalese students that were also on the trail during that time.

Beautiful trek - I did Mardi Himal after the Annapurna Circuit (also with Ace). The trek was stunning, and was a fantastic addition to the Circuit. I am sure it would also work well as a standalone trek. Ace as a company was superb. They were flexible throughout and very easy to communicate with. Dipak, my guide, was excellent. He was very knowledgeable of the surrounding mountains and terrain, and was great fun outside of trekking hours. Because we were acclimatised to altitude by the time we did the Mardi Himal trek, we could push each day and he was very willing to keep going - as a result we did the trek in two days.

A gem of an experience - We trekked to Mardi Himal for 10 days. Our guide, Ram, and our porter, Kismat, we’re so attentive and patient. They took care of everything for us on this trip, every last detail was thought out and cared for. There were hardly any other tourists on this trek which made the experience even more memorable. I’d highly recommend Ram and Kismat, their attention to detail was superb.

Amazing Trek to Mardi Himal - Our group of 11 partnered with Ace the Himalaya for a trek to Mardi Himal in October 2019. The weather was perfect and Ace was the perfect partner. They provided excellent leadership and a great team to help us have a great experience. The trek was amazing; from the first view of Fishtail to the final view of Annapurna South as we were leaving Landruk. Tea house accomodations varied and the food was the same along the entire route, but better than our expectations. For anyone considering this trek, I would highly recommend Ace.

Awe inspiring trek in the Annapurna range - From the beginning, our experience with the Ace staff was wonderful. They were very responsive to all of our questions in the planning stage and provided quick feedback and clear information. Many in our group also had Ace arrange additional day trips to enhance our Nepal trip. These were excellent. The gear they provided was clean and the right warmth for the mountain conditions. On the trek, Ram, Sujan and our porters were amazing. In addition to handling the logistics, meals and hauling our duffel bags up the mountain, they shared their joy of the mountains and the culture of Nepal with us. With 11 people, Ram and Sujan were attentive to our safety and how everyone was doing with the hike and the altitude. It was clear that their goal was to make our Trek a once-in-a-lifetime dream trip. They were flexible so ensure each trekker got the experience they wanted. I feel like I made some new friends along with wonderful memories of the spectacular Himalayas. I would love to do another trip with Ram and Sujan.Thank you for a magical journey!
