Highlights
  • Saxman Native Village - Saxman Native Village has the largest collection of authentic and restored Tlingit totems. We get out walk around and your guide will share some of the stories the craved totems tell.
  • Herring Cove - We will disembark in Herring Cove for the opportunity to see black bears, harbor seals, eagles and salmon swimming upstream. Wildlife is never guaranteed because they are wild, but we have a good chance to see them here.
  • Creek Street - As we arrive back in town, we are happy to drop any guests at the historic Creek Street for a little shopping if they would like, or we will take you back to the location we picked up at the Vistors Center on Front Street.
  • Salmon Ladder - Learn about the five different species of Salmon we have in Ketchikan, while viewing the Salmon swimming and jumping up a raging creek to reach their spawning grounds to lay their eggs.
  • Ketchikan - We will stop at Rainbow Falls known for its mist caused by the raging waterfall. If it is a sunny day the mist creates a rainbow across the falls, hence the name. It is a fantastic photo opportunity.
  • City Park of Ketchikan - City Park used to be a hatchery with small wading ponds where the fish were grown until large enough to make the swim around the Pacific Ocean and return back to the creek where they were born.

Revealing facts about Ketchikan. - Our driver has lived on the Rock for 24 years and certainly knows his way around. He went out of his way to show little known facts about Ketchikan.

Wonderful sightseeing in Ketchikan - This was a last minute booking since the cruise didn’t have any excursions that interested me. Everything about this was wonderful. The owner called me and actually took us an hour early as we were ready to go sooner. Super clean, nice van ride with water provided. Our tour guide was Kevin. I can’t say enough wonderful things about this precious young man. So patient, kind, knowledgeable and accommodating. He did not rush us and told us repeatedly to take as much time at each stop as we needed. He took pics of our groups for us. We are so pleased and glad we took this tour. It wound up being one of our favorite things we experienced on our Alaskan cruise.

Ketchikan tour - We enjoyed our tour. Our guide Keith shared lots of interesting information about Ketchikan. He took us to a place to pick Salmon berries, which was fun. It was great to go beyond town and see out of the way places.
