- Mount Rushmore National Memorial - The Evening Lighting Ceremony at Mount Rushmore National Memorial is held beginning the Friday before Memorial Day to September 30 each year. From May through early August, the ceremony starts nightly at 9 p.m., and from early August through September 30, it starts nightly at 8 p.m. From October through May, there is no ceremony, but the sculpture is illuminated nightly at sunset.
- Iron Mountain Road - Along the highway, visitors will find wildfire exhibits, pigtail bridges, magnificent Black Hills scenery, and tunnels that frame Mount Rushmore.
Constructed in 1933 under the direction of Senator Peter Norbeck, only a portion of this road lies within the park, but it is a must-see.

Mt Rushmore Night Ceremony ​​-
We pick you up at your downtown hotel in our unique Woody vans. You will enjoy fantastic views of the Black Hills National Forest along the way . Arriving at the monument 7:00pm you walk Avenue of Flags before enjoying the ceremony in the beautiful outdoor amphitheater. At 8:00pm the program begins with an introduction from a national park ranger and continues with an informative film about the creation of Mt Rushmore. ​Very patriotic with honoring our veterans at the end. -
Iron Mtn Road -
At the conclusion of the Ceremony - we exit the Monument and drive slowly up the famous Iron Mountain Road, up the twisting pigtail bridges. Near the top we stop and you will view the Four Faces framed in the dark one way tunnels. -
Weather permitting, before we return you to your hotel, you will be able to view the evening stars . . . away from the cities ambient light.
