Arrival in Tanzania: A Warm Welcome

As the plane descended towards Kilimanjaro International Airport, I felt a familiar thrill of anticipation. Africa had become a second home to me, a place where my passion for wildlife photography and conservation intertwined seamlessly. This time, however, my adventure was not solely about capturing the majestic creatures of the savannah but about conquering the mighty Kilimanjaro via the Lemosho Route.

Upon arrival, I was greeted by the warm smiles of the Maua Adventures team. Jackson, the owner, was there to welcome me personally, a gesture that set the tone for the entire journey. His genuine enthusiasm and commitment to ensuring a memorable experience were evident from the start. After a brief introduction and equipment check, I settled into the cozy Lindrin Lodge in Moshi, where the anticipation of the trek ahead kept me awake despite the comfortable bed.

Each day brought new challenges and rewards, from the steep climbs to the awe-inspiring vistas that unfolded with every step.

Standing at the highest point in Africa, I was overwhelmed by a sense of accomplishment and gratitude. The journey had been as much about the people and the experiences as it was about the destination.
