Wonderful day trip - Montenegro was beautiful and well worth the trip. We did the small group tour and it was phenomenal. Our guide Patricia was great and gave us lots of information on the bus ride to Montenegro as well as recommendations on when and where to eat. Our Lady of the Rock was very interesting and Kotor beautiful.

Superb excursion - We greatly enjoyed our experience. Our guide Aïda was exceptional as was the driver. Initially, we were reluctant because of some criticism that sometimes the wait is long at customs and that the air conditioning is not adequate, to which we responded that those who do not want to wait at customs should avoid travel. As for the air conditioning, the bus was very comfortable and the air conditioning did what it could in heatwave circumstances (32 to 35 degrees). In short, we highly recommend this excursion and highlight the great professionalism of our guide Aïda.

Lady of the Lake and Montenegro - Tour guide on bus - Rosa Bus driver - Vide Tour guide in Montenegro - Vesna Everyone was friendly and helpful with great information about what to expect on the tour and history of the area. Activities were well planned with sufficient time for free time, comfort stops for toilets and refreshments. Fascinating scenery and a luxurious coach for the drive to Kotor Bay and Montenegro. Boat ride was enjoyable and gave a fantastic opportunity to view the entire Kotor Bay. Made me want to plan a separate trip to spend more time in the area. Will definitely recommend and book more excursions with this company.

Kotor review - Overall a great trip. I had a really bad experience with another company that I had originally booked with and read many bad reviews on but this one was great answering questions and keeping me in the loop. The time in both towns was quite rushed but in reflection to be expected given the time frame, you do get to see beautiful places and the boat trip isn’t just to old lady on the rocks but an hour long to Kotor from Perast which was great. Do make sure to take money out in advance, they stop over the boarder but the ATM was broken so we had no euros for Perast and had to wait for Kotor before we could buy anything.

Too long a journey in the summer in poor ventilated coach - We asked for a minivan but were advised it would be a coach as the trip would take 1 hour by coach and 45 minutes by bus. It took 3.5 hours due to the wait at the border and the one way system. The coach was not well-ventilated and while the guide was very good, hotel pick up was punctual and the boat journey to Kotor was lovely, the 7 hour round trip in a hot coach, and then drop off for every hotel guest made the day exhausting. If you go, go in May or September in a mini van as Kotor is stunning, and cheaper than Croatia, and the trip is good value.

Kotor is beautiful, but pick a different tour company to get there - We went on the day trip from Dubrovnik and had a OK experience. The best part was the boat trip between Our Lady of the Rocks and Kotor (beautiful) and wandering Kotor on our own for several hours. However this company (or maybe just our guide Steven) is terrible about logistics. We met at the Pile gate and spent 15 minutes trying to find our bus in the maze of people and unlike other tours with signs and organized lists Steven was just quietly standing around - we had no idea he represented a company. We spent about an hour after that picking up other guests on our bus (which I expected from other reviews). But then on the bus ride Steven provided a little commentary but spent more time talking about bathroom stops (when we had to make sure to go since they didn’t want to stop). What commentary there was seemed to focus a lot on how lazy people from Montenegro were. At the border (about a 45 minute wait) we were allowed to use the restroom but only two at a time and there was no toilet paper - you’d think guides would have some toilet paper just in case. We had some free time (20 minutes) in Perast and then we were told to meet on the boat - all of the guests were on the boat before Steven who showed up a couple of minutes late so we were just guessing it was the correct boat to be on. We had a local guide on the boat ride who told us she hasn’t done a tour in two years and whose commentary (what we could hear) was delivered relatively monotone and wasn’t exciting. The boat ride was lovely however, beautiful views. The best part of the trip was when we were on our own to explore Kotor for a couple of hours - we walked the walls up to the church which was beautiful. After the long bus ride back to Dubrovnik (during which our driver stopped to pick up his phone and talk at least 5 times which made me very nervous on the narrow roads), our driver refused to drop us off at the Pile gate (too much traffic?) so they dropped us off above the Old City on the main road so we had to walk about 15 minutes downhill with lots of stairs to get to the old City. So overall, I would pick a different tour company.

Beautiful scenery but too long a tour - Trip was all day, 12 hrs. long delay at border crossing due to one main road and high season. Too little time at rest stop. Too much time at Kotor Bay. After walking tour free time could have been shortened.

Don’t choose Select Dubrovnik as your tour guide for Kotor! - While Kotor is beautiful, Select Dubrovnik was not a good tour provider. What a disappointment. They were late 30 minutes to pick us up. Given that it is such a long trip, this was unprofessional and disappointing start to our day. We thought we were in the wrong pick up area at first and had to phone them twice to make sure they were coming at their designated meeting point. The tour guide was polite but disinterested. She made little effort to engage with everyone. There was little group dynamic. There was some historical details at first. Then, when we were on the beautiful boat trip to Kotor, there was NO commentary at all. There were monasteries, towns and buildings where I was curious but had to do searches about after I got back to Dubrovnik. I just didn’t feel the guide was interested or approachable. Given the cost of the tour and the amount of hours the guide spends with the group, some effort should be made. The most disappointing and bad value tour I’ve ever experienced. An effort and some professionalism needs to be made. Phoning it in doesn’t cut it for such a full day touring. Don’t use this tour provider!

The 9 hour tour with 2 hours of fun - My wife and I took the tour to Bay of Kotor, Montenegro from Dubrovnik Hotel. Kotor was beatiful all around. The tour itself and specially the Portuguese lady/ guide were horrible. The breakdown goes like this, 4 +hours on bus, 2 hours at border crossing, 1/2 hour at some shopping center?, 2 hours total at Bay of Kotor. The tour guide lady rips you off for 2 euros each for an entrance fee to old town "Which is really free to get in" so she can go have her mussels lunch on you, and she's very un professional, talks about Yoga and spiritual crap the hole ride.
