Escape to Kampong Phluk - Tonle Sap and Kampong Phluk was the perfect escape after a long day at Angkor Wat. The day started with an exploration of a major market outside the city - much different from the markets within the city. We had an awesome guide named Sophy who explained the lifestyle of the market sellers and the work/family dynamic of the Cambodian household. We then moved to Kampong Phluk were our guide explained the challenges and the seasonality of their lifestyle. After a short cruise onto the lake we returned back to the city. It was overall a well equipped/organized tour company with a good guide (Mr. Sophy) and driver (Mr. Thnu? Thnou?) and I would highly recommend.

Great tour - We had a great half day with our lovely guide Sophy. He was very knowledgeable and open for any question. We started at the local market, then drove along the rice fields and local fisherman, got on a boat and saw the floating village from the water. Afterwards we also visited the village by foot. Amazing to see how these people live with the water. Can highly recommend!

A Relaxed Tour of Tonle Sap and Kampung Phluk - This tour of Tonle Sap and Kampung Phluk was excellent. The half day tour was perfect. My guide, Sophy, was very relaxed. He provided information about the sites but did not overwhelm me with details unless I asked questions. This was prefect! Because the tour was in the morning we were able to go to a morning market as well, which was a nice extra stop. The driver Phearom was also very nice. He messaged in the morning on What's App to tell me when he would arrive. This was reassuring and allowed me to be ready on time.

A wonderfully inspiring visit - This was a fascinating trip which gave a real insight into how incredibly resilient Cambodian communities are. They do not lead the soft, cushioned lives those of us in the western world take for granted but they are a happy, joyful people and welcomed us with real warmth as we walked around their village. Our guide, Li, spoke excellent English and was wonderfully informative. He was clearly invested in working to improve the lives of those living on the lake and I came away feeling inspired - thank you so much . This is a must-do trip for anyone wanting to understand more about the real lives of the Cambodian people. 🙏🙏🙏

We travelled to floating village which was a real eye opener of how these people live. We walked through local market tasting delicacies of the region than even had lunch together. Lovely young man who felt more like a friend. Thankyou Samun for helping us to build memories of your amazing city.
