Johannesburg / Pretoria Pick Up
Kruger National Park - You depart from Johannesburg between 06:30
- 08:30 to allow for various collection points. The drive takes you through the wide open spaces of the Highveld, down the escarpment and through the scenic Lowveld area. You stop for lunch en-route (own expense) and reach the Kruger National Park and camp in the afternoon.
Kruger National Park - After settling into your accommodations, you go out on your first game drive which is a SAN PARKS sunset drive. A sunset drive affords you the opportunity to see nocturnal animals that are more active at night and the Park’s rangers are allowed to return after the normal gate closing times. Note that these drives take place in one of the Kruger Park’s vehicles with a Park’s ranger. This is not a private game drive and there may be other guests on this drive.
Early Morning & Afternoon Safari Drives
Kruger National Park - Safaris are all about early mornings, getting out there and seeing animals! After an early wake-up call (the time varies according to the seasons and park gate opening times) you have tea or coffee & rusks (dried biscuits to be dunked in your drink!) You then set off on the morning safari which will take approximately 3-4 hours. Your guide has an intimate knowledge of the park, which contributes a great deal towards brilliant sightings!
Kruger National Park - In The Afternoon, you set off on the afternoon game drive. All game drives are conducted in specially adapted 4x4 open game drive vehicles to allow guests the best possible vantage point.
Early Morning Safari Drive
Kruger National Park - The sun rises over your final day in the Park and you have one last chance to find the animals that have eluded you thus far.
After breakfast, you depart to Johannesburg. The drive back takes at least 6 hours and guests are advised to sleep over in Johannesburg on this night.

Enhance your experience with the professional guides who lead dawn and dusk safari rides, giving you a greater chance to catch sight of the ‘big five’ - lions, leopards, elephants, rhinos and buffaloes. On the second day, you have the choice to either continue with the game drives or embark on the Panorama Route that includes visits to remarkable locations such as the Blyde River Canyon, Three Rondavels, Lisbon Waterfalls and God’s Window. Tour accommodation primarily targets the Pretoriuskop Rest Camp, but in the event of full occupancy, alternative arrangements within the park will be made.
