Even if is raining, It is impressive to see the sheer power of the water coming off the rocks. The stairs/trail is well maintained making it suitable for most ages. And don’t forget your bathing suit! Swimming in the cool crystalline waters of the waterfall pool will be one of the highlights and will cool you off from your hike. It is absolutely breathtaking.

The journey begins with a two-mile trek through paths carved out of hardened volcanic lava and untouched rainforest until we reach the observational spot closest to the Arenal Volcano that can safely be attained. From this vantage, one can enjoy the view of Lake Arenal, the secondary rainforest and regions left desolate by time-old volcanic activities….
The journey begins with a two-mile trek through paths carved out of hardened volcanic lava and untouched rainforest until we reach the observational spot closest to the Arenal Volcano that can safely be attained. From this vantage, one can enjoy the view of Lake Arenal, the secondary rainforest and regions left desolate by time-old volcanic activities.
At about 11:30 a.m., our tour will proceed to the next site. The La Fortuna Waterfall is an awe-inspiring place with a height of 230ft, providing opportunities to take a rejuvenating swim, or to capture the enchanting waterfall and its glorious surroundings on camera.
A sumptuous lunch awaits us at a restaurant known for its local cuisine at approximately 1:00 pm. Immediately following lunch around 2:30 p.m., we will continue to the Hanging Bridges. In this area, we will walk a path that threads through the rainforest, featuring high suspension bridges that offer a unique viewpoint to observe flora and fauna. The two-mile looped path includes an impressive collection of 15 hanging and fixed bridges. As the night draws in, we will head back, either to your hotel or to the nearby hot springs.
