Setting Sail on a Dream

The sun was just beginning to rise as I found myself at the port of Pichilingue, ready to embark on a journey that promised both relaxation and adventure. The luxury French catamaran awaited, its sleek design a promise of the elegance and comfort that lay ahead. As a marine biologist, the allure of Balandra Beach, one of the world’s most stunning beaches, was irresistible. The gentle hum of the engine and the soft lapping of the waves set the tone for a day that would be both calming and exhilarating.

Our guide, Raz, was a fountain of knowledge, sharing stories of La Paz’s rich history as we cruised along the coast. His passion for the region was infectious, and I found myself drawn into the narrative of this former capital of Baja. The light breakfast served onboard was just right, a perfect prelude to the activities that awaited us. As the morning’s adventures came to a close, we returned to the catamaran for a delicious lunch prepared by the talented crew. The drive back to Cabo was made comfortable by our driver, Paco, who ensured we had everything we needed, including stops for snacks and bathroom breaks.
