Good HOHO package for a cruise Port stop - This was a good HOHO package to take as a port stop — starting from our pick up from the La Spezia port — to the 2-hour transfer to Florence —boarding the HOHO to go for a quick sightseeing and shopping around Florence — and getting us back seamlessly back to the port to board our ship. Our guide, Lumi, was very nice — and while she was only responsible for us during the transfers — it was nice that she was in the city the whole time to be on hand in case we encountered issues. Special shout out to our Kabayan (Filipino) lady in the HOHO stop who gave us pointers to get down in Stop 10 (Ponte Vecchio), re-board and Stop 14 (Michaelangelo Square) since we had limited time — so we were able to maximize our time.

Florence - Excellent roundtrip transportation from the port to Florence. On time, nice. The guided walk by Martina very good, she was worried and friendly. The regular bus hop on hop off. The app did not clearly show the stops we had a hard time finding it and it was very hot. Once above the Audio Guide was out of step.

Poor Communication. - The Good: We were delivered to Florence on time and we were delivered to our cruise ship on time. The bus was air conditioned and very comfortable. Lumi on the first bus was very kind and gave very explicit directions as to time and place to meet our returning bus. The Bad: We came very close to missing our returning bus as the instructions given by Lumi, were not followed by Laura. We were told bus would arrive at 3:00, bus did not show till 3:30. We were very nervous. We were told returning bus would arrive same place we were dropped off, it showed up down the street (about 1/2 block) and had different markings from original bus, so we did not recognize it as ours. There were many buses coming and going, so hard to tell which was ours. Luckily, a gentleman waiting with us thought it might be ours and we followed him. Thank goodness we did. We felt the communication could have been better. We followed explicit instructions given to us, but they were not followed by the company. I hate to think what might have happened had we been stranded.
