Highlights
  • Paddywagon Tours - We leave historic Limerick City, and en-route we will view King Johns Castle and the river Shannon. We continue via County Clare to the west coast of Ireland.

  • Cliffs of Moher - We spend 1.5 hours at the Cliffs of Moher - one of the world’s greatest natural attractions. The cliffs stand 1/3 the size of the Empire State Building and have large populations of puffins and gannets. You can enjoy a hike or a relaxed walk, while gazing in amazement at this geological and natural beauty. The Cliffs of Moher also have shops and restaurants, anything from snacks and souvenirs available in plenty. Visitor charges at the Cliffs are included in the tour price saving you EUR 10.00. You will also receive a complimentary ticket to the award winning Atlantic Edge exhibition that examines all aspects of the mighty Cliffs of Moher.

  • Liscannor - We depart from the Cliffs of Moher for a stop in Liscannor a tiny west of Ireland village where you may wish to enjoy a delicious local lunch (optional), maybe a seafood chowder or lamb stew with a regional craft beer (optional). There are options to suit everyone from red meat to vegan and everything in between. On the way we will have superb views of the Atlantic coast and the Aran Islands.

  • Wild Atlantic Way - This afternoon we’ll round off the day by taking a spectacular drive along the coast through the limestone scenery of the Wild Atlantic Way. The region all around us is known as the Burren - incredible local landscape!

  • Bunratty Castle and Folk Park - On the way back to Limerick we’ll stop for refreshments, restrooms and coffee, sodas, water etc. Instead of stopping at a motorway service station this refreshment stop will be at medieval Bunratty Castle - much more interesting!

Enjoy a brief stroll to stretch your legs, grab some quick photos and maybe some quick souvenir purchases from the shop.

We’ll soon be back on the road to have you back in Limerick to freshen up ahead of evening entertainment arrangements.

  • Paddywagon Tours - We leave Bunratty Castle for the short return drive to Limerick. The tour finishes at 16:30 approx. (Passengers from.UL please note that due to traffic conditions you will be dropped off in the city center)

Great trip - Paul was a great tour guide who made this trip an unforgettable experience with his knowledge about Ireland and his entertaining stories. The Cliffs of Moher are spectacular even when the weather isn't that good, so it was definitely worth it and we would definitely recommend this trip!

Cliffs of Moher and Atlantic Way - Our driver/guide, DJ, made this a memorable and thoroughly enjoyable day. He even had me singing by the end of the trip. I highly recommend the tour.

Lovely views - The bus was already very busy when it arrived in Limerick, we were only lucky to have a seat together. We have taken multiple other bus tours, and we were surprised by the little amount of (photo)stops during this trip, as well as the mandatory lunch location. But besides that, we had a very nice day and loved seeing the Cliffs of Moher and the other things we saw from the bus!

Lovely scenery and hiking - I loved the amount of time we had at the cliffs to hike and take pictures. I think you should pick a different lunch place - it’s a madhouse and it’s the only thing around. There is no place to walk or sit and have a coffee in a town. Also, please tell the drivers that when they smoke and then hop into the van they bring all their smoke with them and blow it right onto to the front row - awful.

Meh - If you need transportation to see the Cliffs of Moher, this is it. Our tour guide, Colin, really did not give us good information, just really the basics. This tour could be greatly improve by having the guide give more history of Ireland, etc on the way to the Cliffs. Also, if the guide could give tips on how to navigate the sights, it would help, since this is one of the top sites in Ireland.

Cliffs Of Mohr - The cliffs were amazing! The bus driver was rude and nasty. He smelled like smoke and the bus didn’t smell good. The tour guide was poor at time management. Please don’t tell me to be at the bus and then keep the door locked 15 minutes before I could enter. I continue to use Viator because all of my other tours have been great. I was very disappointed with the driver and guide

Poor timing and an unnecessary stop - The cliffs were lovely, but time management was abysmal. Only 1.5 hours was allocated for the cliffs. I could've spent 2.5 hours there. We then headed to The Rock Shop for 20 minutes, which was a waste of time. We stopped for lunch, which I have no complaints about. The last stop was Bunratty Castle and Folk Park for 45 minutes, which wasn't nearly enough time and admission wasn't paid for unlike the cliffs. I didn't even go in, but my friend who did said it was nice, but they needed much more time to appreciate it. Overall, I recommend seeing The Cliffs of Moher and Bunratty, but I don't recommend using this service.

Lack of organization - The beautiful landscape. But this tour had several flaws. 1- disorder when entering the bus. Those who were in groups or 3 first and the others last entered. I was a couple and we had to go apart... 2- The bathroom of the bus did not seem to serve 3- There was no Wifi on the bus. On the page it says there is wifi. 4- There is nowhere to charge the phone either, even though on the tour it says they offer where to charge. 5- as we were returning at one of the stops, a young girl stayed by mistake. More organization is needed.

WORST tour yet. - One of the worst tours we have been on. The day started out not knowing what bus we are supposed to get on. The guide that we had gave us very little information. We sat on the bus most of the time in silence did not learn about the areas did not learn about music from Ireland end I would never use PaddyWagon again. The only reason I gave it was because I Could not give a lower star. Disappointing.

Ruined my long anticipated trip to the Cliffs of Moher - The Cliffs of Moher were beautiful and I do recommend seeing them just don’t use this Viator tour group. They started off the day by being 1/2 hour late and the large bus was full and we had to hunt to find any seats. We were two couples traveling and could not sit together. The tour guide did not give us much information on the trip although at the end she did remember to tell us where the tip jar was. The worst unforgivable event is that when another viator paddywagon tour guide (Richard) started howling at some of the people as they were returning to the bus because they were a few minutes late. He was extremely mean. It was very upsetting to watch and I told our tour guide that he had no right to behave that way. The only response I got back is that she just wanted us all to have a wonderful tour. Well, it wasn’t and we won’t be using Viator again.
