Your menu includes typical Portuguese appetizers, which may change with the season to ensure fresh and flavorful results. The main dish—whether seafood, fish, or meat (vegetarian options available). The meal concludes with a delightful traditional Portuguese dessert. Our hands-on cooking classes are conducted in English by our local, trained chefs. They’ll immerse you in a genuine Portuguese gastronomic adventure, sharing their knowledge, personal experiences, and culinary tips and techniques. Join our team of Portuguese chefs to cook up some of the most traditional Portuguese recipes. Don’t worry about memorizing them, we’ll send you digital recipes to your email then, so you can replicate them at home and share it with your family and friends.

Great Experience to Learn About the Food - This was my 4th cooking experience during my European travels and found this one to be well thought out, informative, and generally well executed. I attended with my spouse and two guests who were did not have a lot of cooking experience. We were paired with two more students for a class of 6 of us. We were met at the start of the event with some petiscos and a glass of wine. Miguel explained to us what we were going to cook, where it originated from in Portugal, and taught us about the techniques we would be performing. The menu included a pesticos of clams, an octopus and rice dish, and a dessert. Miguel was patient and attentive to all the students, and answered many questions from the class. When the cooking was complete, the entire class sat down and had the meal together over wine. At the completion of the class, the operator shares all the recipes that can be cooked, not just what was cooked that day. It was a great experience and Miguel helped make it that much more special.

Great food, lots of fun!... - Great food, lots of fun! Learned something along the way too. Our group ended up being all Americans, but we still had a really great time exchanging stories over cooking/eating and of course having wine. Miguel was a great captain of our ship.

Excellent way to end our trip to Portugal - Amazing! This is a must do when in Lisbon. My daughter and I traveled with her BFF and her mom for spring break and to celebrate their 21st birthdays. My friend and love to cook so when I saw this, I knew we had to do it. Our Chef, Beatrice (probably spelling that wrong, sorry), was awesome. Super friendly and super knowledgeable. When we arrived, she put on some music and served us some finger food. I was in disbelief when she put out a bowl of Lupines. We ate those growing up all the time. I never knew anyone outside our Italian circle who ate them. I could have eaten the entire bowl. The goat and sheep cheese she put out was so good as was the bread and olives. We made three beautiful and delicious Portuguese dishes: Egg and Farinheira (starter), pork & clams over fried potatoes, and a lemon and cinnamon crème brûlée. It was just the four of us so it was like getting our own personal class. The food was amazing as well as the conversation with Beatrice. If you get a chance, I’d recommend this excursion while in Portugal. Have fun and thank you!

Hands on fun with a fabulous chef! - The cooking lesson was one of our favorite activities in Portugal. Carla, our Chef, was personable, super accommodating, and provided a wealth of knowledge and experience from her long career in restaurants and hospitality. When planning our trips and various activities, I conduct a lot of research in an effort to ensure the best possible experience. Other feedback, specifically about Carla, did not steer us wrong. She absolutely MAKES the class! Food was fabulous and we even learned some related Portuguese history. Thank you, Carla and Lisbon’s Best!

You need to do this class - I cannot recommend this cooking class with Chef Carla enough! She went above and beyond to make this an unforgettable experience for my family. Not only did she teach us how to prepare authentic Portuguese dishes, but she also shared stories and insights about Portuguese culture from her own experiences. Carla’s warmth, kindness, and extensive knowledge made the class feel so personal and special. Every moment was engaging, and the food we made together was absolutely delicious. This experience was worth every penny, and I’d gladly do it again. Thank you, Carla, for such a memorable dinner!
