One cannot miss Prambanan and Borobudur during a Javanese stay.

The best of Yogya in a day - Thank You Fery for an amazing day in Yogyakarta. It was an amazing experience sharing the day with you. I traveled with my best friend and our adventure was full of Indonesian culture and knowledge. This tour was a 7am pick up and pretty non stop for the day, but having Fery as a driver the day flew by. He was very knowledgeable about the history and shared a lot about his way of life and Indonesian lifestyle. We visited the temples and got to take the jeep ride to volcano; we have BEAUTIFUL PICTURES!

Borobudur sunrise, Marapi and prambanan temples tour with the best tour guide! - My wife and I booked this trip last minute. Although we didn’t get to see the sunrise over the temples or mt. Marapi because of the weather, our guide, Adit, did his best to make sure we had the best day.
Adit is very helpful and friendly, speaks very good English and is very knowledgeable about the history of Java and Yogyakarta.
He has also helped us book excursions for the next couple of days while we are in Malang.
I wouldn’t hesitate to book this excursion.

Dani was an amazing and helpful guide and driver - This was absolutely worth it. This made all the stops super simple and fun. Dani took care of everything. No hassle about keeping tickets ready or paying tolls or anything. He just picked us up in the car at 4am and took care of everything for us all day. He went above and beyond and shared a ton of information and stories about Buddhism and monuments.

Great tour with Hibza! - We had an amazing trip with Hibza (Dani) who went above and beyond to give us a great day. The sights were all amazing and Hibza took us to a lot of different others places that were all very interesting and informative. Hibza was superflexible, very happy and social and we would recommend everyone taking his tour!

Eventful day - The tour was very well organized overall. Our driver Dani was very attentive and was able to tell us a lot about Buddhism in particular. Unfortunately, we were unable to see the spectacular sunrise on Setumbu Hill because there were too many clouds. Nor could we see the Merapi volcano. But the jeep tour was definitely fun. We were lucky with the guides that were provided at the temples. Dani took care of everything on site. Because we were shown another Buddhist temple at the beginning of the tour, we unfortunately didn't have much time for the Prambanan temple at the end as we only arrived there shortly before it closed. Because of this I couldn' t give 5 stars. I personally booked this tour precisely because of the two large temples.

Must See When Visiting Yogyakarta - As always with sunrises it's very much luck of the draw with the weather and unfortunately the low hanging clouds meant that we weren't rewarded for our early start with a clear view across Borobudur all the way to Merapi. As the tickets for the climb to the top at Borobudur are purchased for a particular time slot that did mean we had some time to kill between sunrise and when we needed to be at the temple. Our guide Dani did a good job of filling that time with a visit to a nearby monastery where he took us through the background of Buddhism and also a coffee stop to re-energise us after the early start. At Borobudur you are provided with sandals to wear within the temple area (which are also yours to keep as a souvenir) and while this means that most people are then left to carry their other footwear for the climb Dani was kind enough to take all our shoes back to the car so we didn't have to. A guide is provided for Borobudur and our was excellent - exceptional English and knowledge as well as being very approachable. The temple is very stunning but be prepared for the several kilometres of souvenir markets on the way out. The open jeep tour around the base of the Merapi volcano was a nice change of pace. While you are limited with how close you can get to the volcano itself driving down the roads standing in the back of the jeep was good fun and the jeep guides know the best photo spots too. Prambanan is another stunning temple. While no guide is provided here we followed Dani's recommendation and were shown around by two students who were studying tourism/English who gave us great information about the temple and Hinduism. Dani was a very friendly guide with good English who was very passionate on teaching us about the history behind the temples and various religions of the area.
