Beautiful location, educational experience - Even though the ride to the lagoon was more than an hour, our guide Leo was very knowledgeable about the local history, culture, plants. Very informative and educational. Loved that he stopped to buy us some local fruits, natural gum which we really enjoyed. The lagoon was beautiful even though it got a little crowded later in the day. More beautiful in person than any pictures will show. The water was very nice and the kids played nonstop while we were there.

Fantastic Day - Everything about the day with Tino was fabulous. He was waiting at the port as soon as we disembarked the ship. The drive is quite long to get to Bacalar from Costa Maya cruise port but we really enjoyed it as Tino told us about so much of the local culture and people on the way. We stopped at a roadside stand to pick up fresh fruit for later. The boat ride on the lake was beautiful and so much fun getting in the shallow waters. After the boat ride we stopped at a very nice restaurant for great tacos (the fish tacos as the best) then stopped for a couple of photos. We were at the port exactly on time and never felt rushed. It was a great day and I would highly recommend Chac-Ek!

Fantastic Tour! - I am so glad we decided to book this tour! It was so much fun and our guide was very careful to have us back in time to our cruise ship. They took us to the most beautiful sites in Costa Maya in a very comfortable van, then on to the lagoon with a scenic boat ride. There was plenty of time for swimming! Then we ended the day with the best tacos! It was a great time and I will be recommending this tour company to everyone.

Our Favorite Excursion - This excursion was fantastic! We did another excursion in Belize through Royal Caribbean the day before this one and it sucked. If you're on the fence about doing a private excursion to the lagoon--DO NOT HESISTATE. Our tour guides were so passionate about Costa Maya and taught us a lot about the city and the people there. They provided very comfortable transport (with AC!) to the lagoon. We even stopped at a fruit stand to pick up some fruit for our pontoon boat ride at the lagoon. (so yummy!). Once at the lagoon, we were given a tour on the pontoon of the different cenotes before getting to jump in the crystal clear waters. They also provided beer and tequila! After the lagoon we were taken to a local taco place for the BEST tacos ever (best meal of my entire trip). We always felt like we were in safe hands and returned back to the port with plenty of time left over to shop. Best excursion of the trip, hands down. I'm so glad we did it!

Wonderful Day - We had a great time on the boat ride, lunch and fruit sampling experience. This was a very unique experience that was well planned, very educational and is highly recommended!

Wonderful Excursion - This excursion was a great alternative to the official ship excursion. After a 10 minute walk to exit the terminal, we were met by our driver and escorted to the pick up point. We were lucky to just have a group of 4 and left right away in a clean, air conditioned vehicle. Tour guide was quite knowledgeable and gave an in-depth history of the area and culture. After our ride over we boarded our pontoon boat and were out for a couple of hours. Overall a great experience.

beautiful fresh water! - Enjoyed touring the lagoons. Very cool to learn about the cenotes and watch the colors change as we explored. We also saw a really neat iguana that was orange and black.

Bacalar 7 colors lagoon the best - Excellent I recommend that you book with them it was the best experience, they treated us in the best way and were very friendly, Baudelio is the best, and not to mention the lagoon is magnificent, its tones are beautiful, in my life I had seen a lagoon of 7 shades of blue I highly recommend.

Perfect day - I cannot say enough good things about this excursion. The lagoon is beautiful but what made this excursion so special were our tour guides. They personalized the experience for us and taught us so much history and information about the area. I loved the commitment to the Mayan culture and the environment. You really will enjoy your day and return feeling like you had a great overview of the entire area. Highly recommend
