The Merzouga desert is the preferred choice in Morocco for pursuing Camel excursions and experiencing desert encampments. A camel journey and an overnight stay in a traditional Berber tent or luxury camp are essential to truly immerse oneself in the spectacle of the Sahara desert dunes at sunset. This camel ride lasts roughly an hour, taking you amid stunning red-orange sand dunes. The Sahara desert camp will offer you a fantastic and copious dinner, followed by a musical session with the staff around a roaring fire. However, it’s important remember that it’s a lengthy ten-hour drive from the erg chebbi dunes to Marrakech.
