Fun time in Cassis! - We enjoyed ourselves very much! We ended up changing plans at the last minute and went to Cassis instead of Avignon, but had a wonderful time. We walked around one of the Calanques initially, then went to a winery for a tasting and took photos on the top of the cliffs. We spent the afternoon in Cassis, where we ate lunch and took a boat to the Calanques, and then were dropped off at our hotel in the evening. He recommended a couple of restaurants, and we did our own thing for a few hours. We chose to take a boat tour, but you could also shop, hang at the wine bar, or go to the beach (so bring your swimsuit if you want to swim!). Because it was Sunday we had to be a little flexible with what we did (many/most French businesses are closed on Sundays), but we were alright with it, especially since Cassis was lovely. Also, the views from the cliffs were really breathtaking! The guide is friendly, fun and fluent in English, French and Spanish. Altogether, we had a great experience!
