A great day out - A great day out with plenty to see and do, the tour was well organised and went smoothly. Our guide Gia was very informative and engaging. My only criticism is that would have been nice to have a bit more time to explore Coyoacán rather than visit the silversmith.

Fun, Beautiful, and Insightful - At least 6 Stars! - Leonardo, Gerson, and Emerson were outstanding! They took great care of us and taught us so much about Mexican history, prehistory, and culture! They made great use of our time on the bus! The bus was comfortable and the sound system was great - even the quiz at the end with prizes! I loved the ongoing lessons on the Aztec language and the meaning of names - SO insightful! Frida Kahlo’s home, The Blue House, was so interesting to explore, with the courtyards so full of natural beauty, documented with photos and quotes, and the home itself gave a feel for her workshop and so much time needed in bed due to her illnesses and injuries. The clothing collection was SO interesting and well-done! ¡Viva la vida! Leo’s explanation of the Church and outside courtyard was insightful and made the visit there more meaningful, What we learned about Diego Rivera’s Olympic Stadium mural and the history of that area with the nearby university and Juan O’Gorman library covered in murals was a review and artistic and cultural illumination of what they had been teaching us! Our lunch location was superb! So much delicious food to choose from - their stuffed coconut shrimp and seafood paella were both sumptuous! Perhaps the funnest part was the traditional boat ride at Xochimilco, the place of flowers. Not only did I enjoy a window into the simple and colorful boats on the ancient canals and floating and canal-side gardens, but also the floating vendors, and marachi band that we hired to come aboard (~$6/person). The area also provided a window into a more rural part of Mexican life.

A perfect way to see Coyoacan and Xochimilco! - This was such a good experience. Our guides, Leonardo and Jerson, went out of their way to make it a great day out. The tour is offered in English and Spanish. At the stops, the English and Spanish speakers are split up between the two guides. The information on the bus is given in alternating languages, but it's easy to understand and follow. The guides must have done this trip a thousand times, but they still seemed to be having fun. Because of this, we all had fun too. The bus was clean and comfortable. Don't hesitate to book this day out!
