Safe and informed travel - Excellent experience, I have done two tours with the company Amigo Tour and I totally recommend this option. They are very professional, it was a safe and very informed trip. We went to Puebla with Alexia as a guide and Jhonny the driver and they behaved amazingly. Highly recommended.

A lovely day trip for people wanting to see more of Mexico than just CDMX - Honestly, I was a bit nervous about booking this trip due to some of the other reviews and the fact that it started so early in the morning. However, I am so glad that I did! As I said, the trip started very early so all of our group members were a bit too tired for socializing. That’s totally fair. In the van, our tour guide Alicia gave us little listening devices and headphones so that we could hear her over the noise of traffic. On our journey she pointed out some sites of interest and taught us a lot about the history and cultural beliefs of the area. As someone who is bilingual in Spanish and English, I can promise you that she gives both groups the same information. The journey to Cholula was nice as we had time to sleep and it was also really neat to look out the window to see small towns on the way. We also stopped for 20 minutes at a truck stop for breakfast. It was very nice, clean, and modern with lots of food to choose from! However, don’t dilly dally while deciding what food to get as it may take a while to make, and be sure to ask for it to go. My dad and I didn’t ask for it to go so we had to quick stuff our food in our face before leaving! The first stop in Cholula is awesome. The guide gives you ample time to climb the hill and soak in the view. However, be warned that it is quite the trek up the hill! I genuinely thought my dad was going to have a heart attack haha. Despite this, I still recommend going up because the view is genuinely breathtaking taking. The next stop at the church designed by indigenous people was very neat to see. I appreciate that we were only taken to two churches with this tour. I feel like that was the perfect amount. Next we went to Puebla. The guide will tell you that there is a restaurant that the tour company recommends. Other reviews said to skip it so my dad and I went to a pueblan/Italian restaurant where he had the best ravioli of his entire life. Since we were given 3 hours in Puebla city and lunch only took one, we were left with 2 hours. We decided to wander around to look for souvenirs and stumbled across “Casa de las muñecas” - a museum associated with the local university. It was very neat with a large variety of exhibits ranging from science to medical tools to art (paintings ranging from the 17th century to now!). There is something for everyone! Just be warned it may be too grotesque for some as they do have a mummified mother, fetus, and shrunken heads. After that we got ice cream and enjoyed our time in the beautiful park we were dropped off in front of! The ride back to Mexico Cuty was relaxing and we ended up arriving back to the city a whole hour before we were expected to- way to go Alicia (tour guide) and Roberto Carlos (driver)! Advice I have for future patrons of this tour: 1) bring cash for bathrooms, water, etc 2) take breaks while waking up the hill in Cholula if needed - it is so much steeper than you would expect! 3) don’t be afraid to get to know your fellow travelers! I had amazing conversations with other people in our tour. Plus, it is nice to run in to them in Puebla and know that you are not alone :) (also you have people who you can ask to take your picture haha) 4) research things to do in Puebla city near the Catedral de Nuestra Señora de la Inmaculada Concepción to fill the 3 hours of free time you get there. 5) there is no stop on the way back to CDMX so be sure to use the bathroom and get water in Puebla. It’s also not a bad idea to pack snacks.

Day Trip from Mexico - If you don’t have time to spend two days in Puebla, I would recommend this trip. Our tour guide Gustav was very friendly. He and the driver ensured that we were on time and followed the set itinerary. We were a small group of 13 people. We appreciated that even though we were the only English speaking people the tour was bilingual. Everyone was very welcoming.

Decent Experience - You have to skip lunch to have enough time to walk around Puebla. As the tour guide talks in both English and Spanish, it is not the most efficient.

Good tour guide very bad restaurant name: Evangelina Restaurante - Our first trip in 2025 literally at 6:30am Jan 1st. Tour guide Gustavo is able to communicate effectively with a variety of people, constantly switching between Spanish and English. Organized and well planned ed throughout the itinerary. Delivered thorough knowledge on the subject matters with passion. Super good tour guide. Evangelina Restaurante was the lunch spot our tour guide had brought the group and the review is at the other extreme…super bad. *warning: stay away* *290-380 peso for one simple dish is crazy in Puebla for this level of restaurant. *Food was nasty from the fake sugar water diluted horchata and the cold boiled drumstick mole that’s 500% smaller than the advertised picture. *Our waiter has zero desire to have any human interaction, didn’t give utensils, does not explain menu and doesn’t even let us pick the side items that’s supposedly included inside a combo meal.. After we paid, he counted money in front of us Doesn’t say thank u doesn’t smile. I should not have extended the American way of gratuity to him as I believe there’s zero service rendered. Overall, Disgusting restaurant that partially marred an otherwise beautiful tour of the Puebla downtown.

Great day trip but should have offer hotel pick up - The trip was great and the guide Barbara was amazing. When I booked this trip there was an option for "pick up" but at the end the tour opereator and Viator refused this. I dont mind making myself to the pick up spot but at 6 AM as a female solo I was concern about my safety, I dont mind paying extra for pick up. This option should have been offered
