ARRIVAL \n\nAltezza Travel - Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), where you will meet an Altezza Travel representative, and transfer to the hotel under the rate. The hotel will provide all the essentials for a comfortable stay: cozy rooms, hot water, polite staff, a swimming pool, and Internet access. In the evening, there will be a briefing with our managers, who will also make sure you are ready to begin the climb. \n\nNote: Check-in starts at 2:00 PM.

Additional Information
Embark on this epic 6-day Kilimanjaro Lemosho hiking adventure and enjoy thrilling scenic vistas and pristine wildlife on the way to the peak of Africa. This trail would be a great choice for regular hikers or fit travelers who are up to a challenge. Previous high-altitude experience would help to acclimate smoothly but is not mandatory. You will cross several climatic zones (from heath on Shira Plateau to Arctic desert in the summit area), each different, unique and captivating. Our professional climbing crews will take care of your safety and comfort. Overnight stays are in our walk-in tents (designed by us and customized for Kilimanjaro), the “kitchen” team will surprise you with their cooking skills, and the porters will carry all equipment. The guides will be leading your way, excitedly sharing their knowledge of this amazing Mount. Pre and post-climb accommodation (included) will be in a hotel in the foothills of Kilimanjaro. Airport transfers included.

Altezza are who you need - We went to Tanzania to climb Mount Kilimanjaro and go on safari with Alteza travel. Before booking to climb Kilimanjaro with elite expedition I had never heard of them. Suffice it to say they did better than anyone in the UK could put together a Safari which completely suited us. The best thing about Altessa. Is that you are never left alone. They’re on the end of WhatsApp and they check in with you every couple of days they never fail to answer questions and they were even prepared to help me out with my Visa. Tanzania inside out. They are the best company to travel with here. We had amazing hotels gourmet food expert guides. And also the inside track on how to ‘be’ In Tanzania. 10/10 on all fronts. All trips were brilliant.

Amazing experience - Our guide Elia and his team were simply amaaazing! They managed to solve all the little problems we ran into on the mountain and made sure everybody made it to the top. Very good vibes, very well organised, 100% recommended!

Incredible Experience - Altezza was outstanding, the guides and all the team were always there when I needed something. They were there even before I had to ask, they already knew what I need. It was like a five star hotel at high altitudes. Without them I could have never reached the peak. I would reccomend it to whoever reach to me to ask about Kilimanjaro

Amazing experience and support with climbing Kilimanjaro! - Altezza went above and beyond with every detail of the trip. They accommodated last-minute travel changes and flight delays and even assisted with rebooking my flight! During the climb, we got top of the line service, and there was a lot of attention to individual needs and safety with regular health checks.
The support and attention to detail and positive attitude for every single team member helped make this an incredible experience for our entire group!!

Best trip of my life! - We did the trek to kili. Loved it. From the chief/lead guide Stanford to Balthazar, Phillipo, ally and my dude ayubo everything was beyond expectations. We got engaged at the top and they made it so magical. From signing to bringing a special cake from the the bottom. Trip of a lifetime.

Safe, Professional, Attentive. Would highly recommend. For such an important climb, choose the best. - I would strongly recommend choosing Altezza to support your climb up Kilimanjaro.
The only thing I had to worry about was whether my legs (and lungs) would get me to the top. Everything else was taken care of in such a professional and thorough manner that I didn’t need to think about it.
Most of us will only climb Kilimanjaro once. Whilst there may be cheaper companies out there, I didn’t regret paying a little more to climb with a tour provider with such a high reputation.
Pre-trip communication was excellent. Transfers from airport to hotel to mountain and back are all pre-arranged and run like clockwork.
Altezza conducts pre-ascent equipment checks with appropriate advice and additional changes to equipment rental where necessary as well as safe storage for valuables whilst you’re on the mountain.
All rented equipment was high standard.
On the mountain, I felt totally safe and supported. The climb is not without risk and it was clear that all of the support staff took their responsibilities very seriously.
Regular health checks were undertaken twice daily with medication and oxygen available if required.
When it became clear that a climber was too unwell to continue they were escorted safely down the mountain. (This is in contrast to unsafe practices I saw on the mountain myself from another company).
Alongside running the logistics, they kept us going with humour, singing and their deep knowledge of Kilimanjaro’s history and culture.
Judging by Altezza’s interactions with other teams on the mountain, they are well respected amongst their peers. They are also members of KPAP which ensures minimum standards for Mountain Porters are adhered to.
Whilst all of the 63 support staff provided deserve credit, Rashid, Othman and Mussa (all guides) are assets to Altezza. Their attentiveness and dedication was really appreciated.

Amazing Lemosho hike with Altezza - Amazing week trekking the Lemosho trail and summiting Uhuru! The whole Altezza team worked so hard to make us feel welcome and help us succeed - in particular Osman singing and chanting to keep us motivated, Hance sharing interesting facts and always keeping us safe, and Isreal always having a smile and rescuing my frozen toes at the summit!! My no.1 tip is to put hand warmers in your boots! 2 pairs of warm walking socks were not enough!! Asante sana!!

Incredible trip, Incredible Guides, Incredible Porters! - We’ve just come down from the mountain and had an incredible 6 day climb and descent. Some very tough days but so worth it. The Altezza crew from the booking team, to the guides and the porters were incredible. So helpful and reliable. We would not have made it up the mountain without the hard work of the guides and porters - they assisted at every point and made the experience truly unforgettable. Our group was led by Frank, Hance, Lema, Ausman, Israel and Jonas - each of them were a source of comfort and grounding when we all felt unsteady at various times. Thank you so much!

Amazing Experience! Recommend Altezza to everyone! - The guides were amazing! Frank, Hance, Lema, Israel, Jonas, and Othman did absolutely everything in their power to make sure that we had a flawless trek and everything went smoothly. I cannot speak highly enough of them! The guides were very adamant that Altezza is the best trekking company around. Customer service was amazing and helped me sort out my trek when my flights were all messed up. Pole pole!
