Castles, bike and views - Loved this trip with the option of riding through the farms paths and out to the lake with a swim if wanted instead of the second castle. Easy ride on flat paths. Nicely paced trip all round. Great tour leader[ sorry forgot name, charming red headed guy]. Recommend, lots of info, great day. Plenty of views of Neuschwanstein from many view points for take photos.

A tour to explore! - This was my favorite tour of our trip and reasonably priced. We were buses from Munich to the Bavarian Alps on a very comfortable bus. Our guide Tyler was very informative and funny. The bus ride offers great views along the journey. Once we arrived we started with a bike ride along the countryside and lake. This was a great treat. The trail was easy and we stopped along the way for some great photo opportunities. There was an option to take a jump/swim into the lake and one person was brave enough to take a jump into the cold lake. Had it been a summer month I would have loved to take a swim. After the bike ride we stopped for an hour at a local restaurant for a very good meal with local dishes and other options (note, this stopped was part of the tour but the food was not included in the price of the tour) the meals were reasonably priced and I’d rate this restaurant as a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. After lunch we returned to the bus for a short ride up the mountain where we gathered for a hike up a trail to Mary’s bridge. The hike was a steep hill and a great workout. There is an option to take a horse and buggy up the hill if you’re not up for a hike. The view of the castle is stunning from the bridge and well worth the hike. Next was the trail to the Neuschwanstein Castle. We opted to take the inside tour (worth it). We had a 30 minute guided tour and an hour to explore the grounds. There is a cute stand at the bottom of the hill that serve hot coco with in a free souvenir cup. For a full day tour it offers a great variety of activities without feeling rushed. You are offered plenty of time to enjoy the activities and take pictures before moving on to the next activity. I would recommend if your in Munich to put this tour on your “todo” list.

An awesome day! - This was such a fun day! I was a little apprehensive about this tour since it was such a long day, but I'm so glad that we booked it! The schedule is a perfect combination or downtime, history, and activity. The views on the bike ride were absolutely beautiful, lunch was delicious, and of course the views of and around the castle were stunning. The hike to the castle definitely gets your blood pumping but it is so worth it. Our guide Tyler was the best. He was friendly, super knowledgeable, and really made for a great and entertaining day. Would definitely recommend!

Visit to Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau Castles - It was extraordinary and a visit of a lifetime, I really enjoyed the visit to both castles, Hohensschwangau and Neuschwanstein castles, both guides were very good and enlighten us up with the history of the castles and area, and life of King Ludwig. It was a tour to repeat again. I took many wonderful photos.

Very thorough, thoughtful, and entertaining. - Our guide Tyler took us on an incredible journey, gave us a fun (and funny) history lesson, and showed us all the best places to go and get pictures along the way — he even surprised us with ponchos when it started raining. He described the menu at the restaurant, made us laugh, and gave everyone options based on their physical ability or preferences. Felt very well guided and prepared on our biking and hiking adventure. Can’t say enough good things.

Guides were awesome! But excursion was more difficult than expected. - The guides were AWESOME! Super friendly, helpful, professional and knowledgeable. The castle was beautiful and historic. But I do think there could have been a clearer explanation of expectations- the hike up and down to the castle was difficult. For people with knee, back, or leg problems- do not book this. Also-admission to the actual castle is not included; it's another 25 euros per person. Otherwise, it was a great experience!
