- Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque - Grand Mosque Photo Stop only (if you start at 13:00 PM and on Fridays for prayer time)
We will take you through the beautiful city of Muscat, where we will first visit the grand mosque for a photo stop. Among other features, it boasts one of the largest single-piece handmade Iranian carpets in the world. The carpet weighs an impressive 21 tons and can comfortably accommodate up to 20,000 worshippers.

- Al Alam Palace - The Al Alam Palace, “Palace of the Flag,” is located in Old Muscat, Oman. It was used as a ceremonial palace by Sultan Qaboos bin Said Al Said. One of six sultan residences of the monarch, it has a history of over 200 years and was built under the watch of Imam Sultan bin Ahmed, the 7th direct grandfather of Sultan Qaboos.

Al Jalali Fort, or Ash Sharqiyah Fort, is situated in the harbor of Old Muscat, Oman. The fort was constructed by the Portuguese under Philip I of Portugal in the 1580s to protect the harbor after Muscat had twice been attacked by Ottoman forces. It fell to Omani forces in 1650. During the civil wars between 1718 and 1747, the fort was twice captured by Persians who had been invited to assist one of the rival Imams. The fort was extensively rebuilt later.
