Kelvin, our guide, made it excellent - While we love animals, we were more interested in the dynamic energy and people of this fascinating country. Our guide, Kelvin, was smart and deeply knowledgeable and able to impart information in a way that was unparalleled. We walked away feeling a little like we had gotten to know the history, people, and animals of kenya. Highly recommend !

Great guide for an excellent tour. - Our guide Dennis was wonderful! Dennis was prompt and waiting at our hotel st the scheduled time and was very friendly and knowledgeable. He shared all sorts of cultural info including info about areas we drove past as we journeyed to each stop. Unexpectedly we made an additional stop to learn about local jewelry making at a shop and there was no pressure to purchase anything. The restaurant Dennis chose, Makutano Grill, was excellent. Overall the tour was excellent and Dennis accommodated minor adjustments such as when we wanted to spend a bit less time at one of our site visits. We recommend the tour and Dennis as a guide.

Great Historic and cultural tour - 7030 Kenya's culture and history in a day Review of Nairobi Cultural and Historical City Tour with a Local Reviewed 2 days ago via mobile I can totally recommend this tour. Kelvin was a fantastic guide. From the moment he contacted us to inform that he was caught in traffic and would be late right through to drop off he was organised, informative and friendly. The tour is well arranged - starting with the museum to get an insight into Kenya's rich cultural, political and natural history. Next we were at a lookout in the centre of the city to get an appreciation of the size of the city. Then to a not for profit factory where Masai women make ceramic beaded jewellery and belts etc to put girls through school. Fascinating and a feel good story. Last was a visit to Boma Kenya - a dance and music performance showing different culture dancing and music followed by a tour of replicated historic houses of the different region. (It is set up for tourists but a very good way to learn more about Kenya). The food we had wasn't great. We had individual guides at the museum, snake exhibition and factory. If you are looking to understand more about Kenya - do this tour.

A fantastic cultural tour of Nairobi - A fantastic and informative day out in Nairobi with our driver/guide Kelvin from Rustic Nature Tours . Kelvin was an amazing guide who took us to the Natural Museum for a guided tour then into the City to go on top of the Kenyatta International Convention Centre to look over the city then off to the Bead and Leather centre for a look at a fantastic community program. Finally off to the Kenya Boma Centre for lunch, a fantastic music, dance and drum show and then a tour of the display of some of the different living structures of a few of the 44 different communities within Kenya. A great way to spend our free day in Nairobi.

Nairobi historic and cultural tour - The Nairobi, cultural and historic tour was amazing. Our tour guide Calvin was very knowledgable and was able to clearly explain the historical significance of events in his country of Kenya. The tour of the Museum was clear and precise. The day was spent learning the historic significance and culture of the Kenyon people Calvin insured we had smooth entrance to all facilities and dealt with all security Personnel. The tour is definitely worth taking if you are interested in learning anything about the country and its people. Calvin also was very effective at dealing with the extreme traffic situations in Nairobi and kept us safe and comfortable at all times. It was very nice to have met a young man that has so much knowledge and interest and love of his country and is able to share that with his clients.

the extra effort - Took this tour with guide Douglas. He was very helpful in getting to all the places that the tour description gave, let you take your time at each location, and passed on a lot of his knowledge of the city. But he was most helpful when I got back into the van from one of the shops and we were discussing the price of the conversion from dollars to KSH that I paid becase I used KSH to pay for my items instead of USD. The next day I got a call from the shop that the conversion was wrong and they were refunding me the difference. Come to find out, Douglas talked to his boss about it and his boss called the shop. So a huge shout out to Douglas for going the extra distance to see that people on his tour got treated correctly.
