• Nazaré Site - The Farol of Nazareth offers a stunning viewpoint, including the Church of Our Lady of Nazareth and a panoramic vista, perfect for capturing beautiful photos. The city’s main attraction is its waves and surfing, thanks to the “Nazaré Canyon,” an underwater geomorphological marvel that creates massive, flawless waves. It is the largest underwater slope in Europe, stretching about 170 kilometers along the coast and reaching depths of 5000 meters.
• Fort of São Miguel Arcanjo - Commissioned in 1577 by King Sebastian, this fortification was built to protect the fishing village. The Interpretative Center of the Nazaré Canyon provides scientific insights, a model of the Nazaré Canyon, and information about the German submarine U-963, which sank off the coast of Nazaré. The “Surfer Wall,” an exhibition established in 2016, honors surfers who challenge the giant waves of Praia do Norte, featuring a permanent display of boards donated by these surfers.
• Praia da Nazaré - This expansive, crescent-shaped sandy beach serves as the city’s seafront, renowned for its grandeur and the vibrant tiles that adorn the white sand, contrasting beautifully with the blue sea.

Facing the ocean, on the right, lies an impressive promontory known as the Sitio, offering one of the most famous views of the Portuguese coast. The rock formation descends 318 meters to the sea, accessible on foot for the adventurous or by lift. It’s an ideal spot for a snack or lunch (not included).

Dinis gifted it to his future wife, Isabel, and it later became part of the dowry for other queens like D. Filipa de Lencastre, D. Urraca, and D. Leonor. The Usseira Aqueduct, the first local water supply system, funded by Queen D. Catherine in the 16th century, is also visible.
