Guilded Age comes alive - Richard was a wonderful guide who brought the Guilded Age alive for us. As residents of the city for over a decade it was wonderful to learn so much new information about this part of the city. He checked in with guests throughout the tour and answered our questions with great detail. Highly recommend!!!

Incredible Experince - Richard, the tour guide was super knowledgeable and had incredible commentary. The places he took us too were super cool and I loved getting to walk down 5th and see some of the buildings that survived. I'm also a big architecture fan and Richard had great ancedotes about the inspiration the mansions that were still standing had. In total, it was a two hour walk. I was overjoyed by this news when Richard informed us. The more history I can get, the better. Overall, I had a wonderful time and would highly recommend!!

Enlightening insight into exclusive NYC past. - This fascinating tour offered an insight into how very wealthy families lived in the 19th and early 20th centuries in NYC. Our tour guide Richard was friendly and informative. He provided very interesting details about the historical figures who lived in the mansions along 5th Ave. We even got to enter some of the buildings to see the opulence of the foyers and staircases. This tour is highly recommended. Nicki (Sydney, Australia)

An easy walk where history comes alive - Richard's knowledge of the area and the era made history come alive. His ability to convert the wealth of the era to today's figures emphasised the historical importance of the era. Richard was extremely easy to listen to and made the tour successful.

Worth it! - I’ve been to NYC many time & was looking for something different. This tour was it - history, riches, drama & incredible buildings with such important history.
I hadn’t watched the TV show beforehand but I certainly did (on the plane in the way home in fact!)

Lovely stroll into the Gilded Age of NYC - Great tour highlighting buildings on and just off 5th Avenue starting at Grand Army Plaza and ending at the Metropolitan Museum. Learned about buildings no longer there and looked at buildings still there. Interesting stories and tidbits and visited a few secret spots!

Great architectural tour - This was a great architectural historical tour of the guilded age of NY. Richard was an informed guide. He was easy to hear and understand. He walked at a decent pace and allowed for questions. My only disappointment was that we couldn't see inside more buildings.
