Pedaling Through Paradise

As a seasoned surfer, I’ve spent countless hours riding the waves of Central America, but this time, I decided to trade my surfboard for a bamboo mountain bike and explore the land instead. Nosara, a charming beach town on the Nicoya Peninsula, is known for its laid-back vibe and stunning natural beauty. We eventually made our way to Ostional, a black sand beach that seemed to stretch on forever. The sun was beginning to set, casting a warm glow over the coastline. With the beach all to ourselves, it felt like we had stumbled upon a hidden paradise. German, sensing our adventurous spirit, suggested we ride along the beach back to Nosara. The conditions were perfect, with the sand hard and dry, allowing us to pedal effortlessly along the shoreline. As we rode, we passed local fishermen casting their lines and even hiked our bikes through a river, adding an extra layer of excitement to the experience.

A Sunset to Remember

Our final destination was Playa Pelada, where we parked our bikes and embarked on a short hike up a cliff. The view from the top was nothing short of breathtaking, with the sun dipping below the horizon and painting the sky in shades of orange and pink. It was the perfect way to end an unforgettable day of exploration and adventure.
