• El Calvario 103 - street where a popular and paranormal legend of Oaxaca in the XIX century takes place
• Jardín Sócrates - It is a small plaza, full of color and sometimes with musicians playing mexican songs and melodies. This place is full of traditional ice cream.
• Basilica de Nuestra Senora de la Soledad - Basilica where there is a relic that is part of the legends of Oaxaca. We will see the architecture and art of the façade of the church.
• Zocalo - We will stop at the zocalo to learn how the city was founded, how the previous moments were and what clues were left by the characters who did it in the layout of the city and its buildings.

Our Historical Compass (Brújula histórica) tour derives its name from the layout of Oaxaca’s urban center, marked by churches at the cardinal points. These key places have significantly influenced the city’s religious, political, and mystical evolvement over several centuries.

During the Historical Compass tour, we will explore various buildings, streets, and regions that have been stages to festivities, conflicts, meetings, and other intriguing historical events. Our journey will take us through locales rich with legends, anecdotes, and facets of the city’s traditional and cultural past.

As we plunge into the city’s unseen treasures, we will shed light on notable Oaxacan women and their contributions, and share less renowned tales from the city’s pre-Hispanic and colonial eras.
