Cafe-Bar Moi-Rai - We’ll talk about the brief history of Tsumami-zaiku and then we will show the 2 options to choose from (1) traditional (2) Sakura “Cherry blossom”. After choosing, we’ll show a variety of patterned cloths and accessories to be used to design your own kanzashi, teaching how to make the kanzashi step by step. All the materials provided will already be precut and premade, except for the Kanzashi (petals). The teacher will guide the students throughout the process, so feel free to ask any questions, don’t worry about making mistakes and have fun!
The glue used to put together the Kanzashi will take some time to dry so during that time we will have a breaktime where we’ll have some tea and snacks. There’ll also be time to look at handmade items available for purchase.
After the break, we’ll hand out the finished Kanzashi wrapped up and ready to take home!
