Hands down the best safari tour! - This safari surpassed our expectations in every way! The level of care provided was excellent. It started with communication asking about our prior safari experience and what we were hoping to see so that our driver/guide knew what we were expecting. Pickup was prompt, and our ride was a very comfortable Toyota safari jeep. The seats were well-padded with ample leg room (trust me, you want this!) Gihan, our driver/guide, put us in the midst of a large group of elephants very quickly, and we were able to enjoy them alone for quite awhile before other jeeps arrived. He also spotted for us the elusive leopard! Of course, ymmv with animal encounters, but trust that you are in good hands with this team. Moreover, Gihan listened when I said I liked birdwatching, and was able to take us to several good birding spots. Overall, we could not be happier with this experience. It was an unforgettable day, and certainly on of the greatest excursions I've ever had! Thank you so much to Gihan and the entire Leopard Eye team!

Great experience. Thank you Gihan - Big thank you to our driver Gihan for a wonderful experience. Gihan asked what animals we were most excited to see, in our case this was elephants and he found them for us on three occasions. One big male and a female with a baby. We got much closer than expected! We also saw a leopard and many other animals, terrific experience

INCREDIBLE - Incredible! A bucket list experience, we didn’t know how lucky we’d get as it’s wet season seeing the leopards. We booked a morning Safari where we did get a glimpse of a leopard but not for long as unfortunately it ran into the bushes. We did have a big storm the night before and according the our guide leopards aren’t keen on the rain. We then decided we wanted to take our chances and go again the following morning and we are glad we did, no rain and great warm conditions within 30 minutes of the safari we got an amazing encounter with two small male cubs. Coming out of the bushes and laying in the middle of the road! We couldn’t quite believe we’d got so lucky! Our guide Gihan was absolutely amazing, I couldn’t fault the entire experience. We also managed to see another leopard within a tree and watched it for a while a little further away so couldn’t take pictures but we were able to enjoy watching from a distance. I’d HIGHLY recommend leopard eye safaris hotel pick up and drop off is included. A must do in Yala!

Great way to get around Yala - Yala was beautiful, and Leopard Eye does a great job of showing you around. My guide was single-minded in his pursuit of a leopard sighting, and we got one toward the end of our full-day safari. There were all kinds of other great sightings as well, and lunch was lovely.

Great day - Highly recommend!! - What an amazing day! We were picked up at 5 AM at our hotel by Udayanga, and taken to the entrance of the park. We waited until the park opened at 6, and went right in. We immediately came across a young elephant right by the side of the road! Through the rest of the morning, Udayanga took us around to a bunch of his “hot spots”, and we came across multiple families of elephants, wild boars, water buffalos, etc. For lunch, he grabbed a table for us and laid out a nice spread of rice, curry, chicken, green beans, and fresh cut watermelon. After lunch, he was on a mission to find a leopard, but despite his efforts, we were not successful. He felt extremely bad that he wasn’t able to find one, and apologized multiple times (obviously not his fault!). He brought us back to the hotel by ~6:30. What a great day!

Fantastic experience! This is not to be missed. - Make sure phone and camera are fully charged. Be patient as you will see the most incredible views and animals. Bring wipes and antibacterial gel. Trust your guide- Su was experienced, knowledgeable and knew exactly where the animals would be and how best to see them in a respectful way.

Scramble of jeeps for looking at three elephants - We went to the park with about 30 other jeeps. Then all the jeeps stood around three elephants and each driver tried to push himself a bit further. We haven't seen leopards and bears at all. Otherwise crocodiles, wild boars, red deer, the impressive birdlife!!! It would be nicer if you could explore the park on foot. Nature is really impressive, the setting unsatisfactory.
