Avoid this trip - We had a driver (no guide), who hardly said anything on the trip. In addition, he had his family with him, who took the entire back seat, including a 10-month-old child. Paying tourists sat cramped in the back of the cramped jeep. Miserable scheme which basically consisted of transport from A to B without any explanation. The lunch and other tourists in the car contributed to a good atmosphere. Possibly our driver was the exception as the others seemed more of a guide type. Overall avoid this trip if you don't like driving old jeep on mostly asphalt road!!!! Worst trip we have had so far in all our travels.

This was a very disappointing tour... -
This was a very disappointing tour from beginning of the booking process to the return to our accommodation.
We understood during the booking process that we would be collected at our accommodation but after confirmation we were given the name of a sub-contractor who changed collection point twice. I sent an email late afternoon to Viator the day prior to trip requesting to be collected at our accommodation which was 2 km from the hotel where they had chosen as the pick up point and in the same street and also requesting collection time as that had also been changed and still not confirmed. They would not change and we were 3 persons in a 5 person tour and it happened that the other two customers were collected from their accommodation just a few minutes walk away from where we were staying.

Having begun the day a little disgruntled having to have already travelled by taxi, we were ushered into a VERY old Land Rover which needed a clean both in and out. The footrest where I stepped to get in and out was sloping down and bent inwards and was very dangerous as I felt I was slipping whilst getting in and out of the vehicle.

The guide/driver was not a licensed guide so didn't come anywhere with us so during the time spent at the Kykkos Monastery we received no information. This was the main event of the days program and were given such a short stay and had insufficient time to visit the museum. It really was such a disappointment. It was a long day of nothing with very little information on anything. I understood she spoke to the passenger in the front seat with her but no one else could hear a word she was saying.

If Viator continue to provide such inferior tours I would most certainly not book tours through them again and I have actually used Viator for many tours in the past and mostly found them to be very good. My group are travelling to Malta from Cyprus and were planning to book 3 tours but are now having second thoughts unless Viator are prepared to gaurantee the quality.
