Off road fun seeing great sites in Cyprus - A great and fun way to see places in Cyprus. Our driver Angelo really knows his vehicle and the terrain and the guides were fun, knowledgeable and engaging. Swimming in the Blue Lagoon was a great experience.

Amazing tour with stunning scenery - Huge thank you to Rian, our guide that day. He's funny, informative, helpful, everything you'd want. Safety warning: Put your seat belt on. Expect a bumpy ride through the mountains but believe me, it is worth it. There's the best view from a coffee shop I've ever seen. Probably ever will see. That goes for 99% of the entire trip. Enjoy it, take it in and go for it.

Great day out on the jeep safari - We had a great day out. A really interesting tour of the Akamas peninsula with our guide Zeus - an excellent driver around some challenging terrain, and a fluent and amusing English speaker. The gorge was beautiful and luckily our TUI rep Georgia at the Leonardo Laura Splash resort recommended sturdy walking shoes, as there were lots of rocks to clamber over and streams to negotiate. We stopped for a coffee at Lara Beach and then went to see where the green turtles lay their eggs on the beach. Zeus gave an interesting talk about how this endangered species is recovering its numbers thanks to conservation. Next stop was Aphrodite’s spring which is where the goddess fell in love with the mortal Adonis. It was here that one of our party got down on one knee to propose! Not a dry eye when she said yes 🥰 After stopping in the mountains for pictures we continued in to our lunch venue where we enjoyed a typical Cypriot meal (Greek salad, roasted meats and potatoes) with wine. Sadly the day we went it was too windy to sail, with a local authority ban on any tourist boats leaving harbour, Instead, we had a little wander and a drink in Latchi. Despite the disappointment we still had a fantastic day out. Thanks, Georgia, for the recommendation and to Zeus for being a great guide.

Riaan a brilliant guide! Great day out with the teenagers! - Superb day out with Riaan hosting. Great balance of stuff to see and do. Great simple but tasty and authentic, good quality lunch. If you’re going to do one trip. Put this one top of the list.

Disappointed - A little disappointing. Each activity is limited to its minimum and is not a visit For example the visit of the gorges stops in front of the gorge by taking a photo And hop back! In short, it’s like being shown around a palace by stopping at the door 😭 Turtles are only on the beach at night, do not expect to see them Finally the groups are more than 50 people, many 4x4s are grouped for each stage In short it is not my conception of a visit Little chance of finding better anyway, better rent your quad or 4x4 and find out well on the spot to find them And otherwise the guides are very nice

Awful and unsafe experience - Traveling with jeep was awful...we stayed in the back (please note that it has 10 seats !!) and was suuuuper uncomfortable and unsafe. No air conditioning, we travel with all windows opened. It is not for sensitive persons or of kids. Food quality very poor, some fried potatoes, small piece of meat, salad. Boat trip was very nice, Blue lagoon is amazing. It was the only beautiful part of the trip. Lara beach is nice, the gorge is ok, nothing special. Overall, I really don't recommend. Maybe the people staying in front and on safe seats enjoyed it more. High price and the only nice part was the boat trip. At least if we had a decent meal...

Akamas Surf & Turf 4x4 Tour Paphos (As recommended by Tui) - This tour was one of two highly recommended by our Tui rep- *This is a very popular and in-demand activity (we had to wait for a second jeep (Landrover) to arrive at the hotel pick up point * If the excursion led by the driver in the language of your choice is sold out, you'll go on one with an English-speaking driver, and information at the meeting points will be given in the language of your choice ( the drive spoke about the sights no more than 3 times on the 8hr excursion in very broken English and hard to decipher. Not sure what the meeting points were supposed to be as we were never told where we were going, just how long we had at each of the 3 stops) * Bring bathing gear and sunblock (it was very hot on board the jeep. Swimwear was for the boat trip - a real non-exclusive disappointment on a large public boat trip. Very busy and smelt like a pub inside where we had to sit) * Wear comfy shoes (this is an understatement! The terrain we walked along in the national park - half hour each way- was quite dangerous at times. I’m not sure what the final destination was supposed to be, a canyon I think, but we weren’t told as the driver- I won’t call him a guide- was miles in front and paid no attention to his group of 8 whatsoever. We did witness other guides talking to their groups at various points along the route) * Wheelchairs, pushchairs and car seats cannot be taken onto the 4x4 (we were lucky to be in a group of just 8- we could see other groups with 10/11 people aboard which must have been unbearable. My seatbelt didn’t fasten and the inward facing rear seats were not suitable for viewing, in fact the windows were too low to see out. The vehicle constantly emitted thick black exhaust fumes) * Not suitable for expectant mothers (or anyone with even a mild physical disability. A lady in our party had recently had hip surgery and was told by her own Tui rep that the trip would be suitable. It certainly wasn’t! The land travel was over unmade roads with large craters that the driver just flew over. We frequently hit our heads on the roof of the vehicle and fell onto the laps of our fellow travellers. Upon complaining and asking the driver to slow down, he did reduce his speed a little for the return trip) * Turtle nesting season is from June to August while hatching season is from August to late September – sightings cannot be guaranteed ( this we understood before signing up to the excursion, but we’re just abandoned by the driver at the turtle beach/restaurant- why not change the itinerary out of turtle season?) * Meze lunch (substantial Greek meal I heard the rep say! It was terrible- rice, uncooked chips, flat ravioli, small piece of chicken, pork, onion gravy, lettuce and couscous- all very bland to taste and certainly not what I would label Greek Meze) Very disappointed with what should have been a fun and exciting excursion, not worth the €180 we paid as a couple. Tui rep says she will feed back to the operator.
