I typically avoid group tours, but this was top notch. - I was skeptical as I am typically averse to group tours, however it would not have been possible to have this experience on our own. Our guide Marika is an intensely likable 23 year old grad student specializing in Italian food science. To say she was knowledgeable would be an understatement. It felt like a college 101 course field trip for cheese, ham and balsamic production- and I mean this in the best possible way. Our guide was clearly trusted by the three small business owners because she had unfettered access to the production facilities and took care of the places as if they were her own. We were lucky to be in a small group of 7, but I understand in high season they can accommodate a group of 20. The mid day lunch at Osteria La Maesta was really something - at a place no tourist would likely find on their own, and the proprietor Donnatella… I wish she were my aunt. The mini bus was comfortable and perhaps changed my mind on group tours. Well done Marika and company!

An educational experience - Walking into the storage rooms and seeing thousands of the Parma hams hanging It was very interesting to learn about how the weather; temperature and the age all affects the quality of the ham

Tour with a food expert - Wonderful! I wish I could spend a week with Marika to learn all I could about Italian food. She's an expert! This was a full day well-spent.

Great Tour - This was a great tour, not touristy at all, small artisanal producers, and Marika was an excellent guide. I would highly recommend it.

A great experience for foodies - This tour is highly recommended if you're into food culture at all. Loved being able to taste and try authentic Parmigiano Reggiano cheese, Parma ham, and balsamic vinegar. The drive through the countryside was beautiful as well. Tour guide was informative and made sure everything about the tour (including pickup time, location, and how to get there) was clear. Bus was comfortable as well. No complaints at all!

Beautiful tour - Leeza was absolutely amazing! So knowledgeable and passionate about the food and culture of Parma. Would absolutely do this tour again. Seeing smaller producers instead of the large ones was very special.

Tasty Parma discovery - Great way to spend a day in the region and learn about quality products and the legacy. Enjoyed the balsamic tour the most! Learned the difference of the Traditional Balsamic, original use for medicinal purposes and will forever be addicted.

A trip to remember - What an amazing and unexpectedly educational experience! We had a full day with the visit to the local Acetia to learn and taste the traditional balsamic vinegar as well. Valentina has been fantastic and shared a lot of knowledge with us. The tour was well paced and we only had 13 people. I would highly recommend this experience.
