Fabulous experience in Peljesac & Ston - This was an amazing full day tour with Oliver. We started in Ston, visiting an oyster farm, going out on a boat to see the oysters gathered. I love oysters & these were the best (& largest) I have ever eaten. We visited the salt farm in Ston & learned a lot. Then on to 2 wineries where the vintners could not have been more welcoming & justifiably proud of their craft. At the last winery, we were treated to a peka lunch - simply delicious! Oliver was a superb guide: very knowledgeable & engaging, and kind & respectful to all he encountered - not just those on the tour, but also the hosts at the various stops. This was our last day in Croatia & a great way to close out our vacation.

I’ve done lots of vineyard tours and this by far and away the most personal and it truely felt like they put real effort into making it special for us. The food was incredible, the wines fantastic and you’d be hard pushed to leave empty handed! 100% recommended!

živjeli - This didn’t feel like a tourist activity - it felt like an experience I needed to have before leaving Dubrovnik. Even though we are all tourists, we got to experience a special trip through the southern part of the country, through many towns and covering lots of mileage, moving from vineyard to vineyard. Oliver was the perfect host and a great driver - we felt safe, well advised, and confident throughout the trip. We stopped at this *epic* ‘Oyster Farm. Being a New Englander, I didn’t think there was much I didn’t know about oysters, but it turns out - there’s a lot. First stop was to this little town and boat dock, we get on a boat and head to this moored barge that was just chilling in the middle of this unreal brackish water bay where these endless oyster farms were. The main boat dude hauls out these massive, boulder like oysters and gives each of us 5. October is off season, and I was told there were ‘smaller than normal’ and to come back in the Spring - no joke, these things were bigger than my fist. Had to chew these things. Honestly, I would have been happy with just the oyster farm trip - it was amazing. Boat dude had a bottle of his father’s white wine, which was amazing too. After wine and oysters, we go back into the car and head to two vineyards / winery’s and have some really great local wine. The second winery included a pretty epic lunch - the pictures posted on TripAdvisor are pretty darn accurate when it comes to food - it’s what we ate / got and it was really fun. The winemakers sat with us and spent time with us, they were happy to receive our group of Googly tech people and we were happy to chill with them. This was easily the best part of this entire trip - walking around Old City is fine I suppose, but you miss 90% of what makes Dubrovnik amazing - the coast, wine, food, people, views, landscape - OTHER CASTLES (they are everywhere; shame shame shame). After this tour, I’m completely rethinking how I do vacations in Europe - I am leaving with a much better sense of what ‘Croatia’ - even this tiny bit at the bottom of the country - is all about and I want to come back.

Worth every penny and more!!!! - Absolutely loved the full day that Oliver offered. Dubrovnik Food Story (the small family company he is part of) is fab. Prompt pick up in clean van. The itinerary can’t be beat - wonderful boat ride and too many oysters to count - followed by two organic winery visits. The wine pours were generous, and only outmatched by the sheer amount of food you are served - delicious local dishes that really reflect the country and traditions. It was small group of only 6 of us, and Oliver took the utmost care to drive safely, provide commentary and even offered to help with photos. He added a bonus coffee break stop for the group and always kept the energy of the day flowing. Was great value. Left full of memories and stuffed with delicious traditional food. I can’t think of a better way to escape the crowds and enjoy the scenery and taste of real Croatia!

Highly Recommended! - We booked the oyster & wine tour with Oliver and had a wonderful day with fresh oysters, good wine, delicious food and nice people! We were picked up from our hotel on time at 8.45 a.m. and brought back at 5.30 p.m. Oliver is a very good and safe driver and attentive conversationalist, as well as very friendly and courteous. In my opinion, anyone who speaks and understands school English / basics can take part in the tour. It was very easy to understand. But even without knowledge of English, the tour is recommended! The first stop was the oyster farm near Dubrovnik. It was simply great to see how oysters grow. The second stop was a modern winery in Dubrovnik with very good wine tasting. Afterwards we had a wonderful and traditional take-away meal in a historic konoba (500 years old) also with wine tasting. The last stop was the historic town of Ston with a coffee break. We would like to thank Oliver very much for the successful day. Best wishes Veronika & Tony

BEST DAY TRIP OUT OF DUBROVNIK - Begin your day with tour guide/owner/driver Oliver. Visit Ston & taste oysters straight from the bay where they were cultivated by the farmer who personally takes you out on his boat & then serves them to you with a glass of white wine & a kiss of lemon! Perhaps the best oysters of my life. Visit 2 organic wineries & finish with an incredible homemade lunch. We had appetizers, delicious lentil soup, wild boar pastiacda, & dessert of pears in varenik syrup. The entire day is filled with sensory overload! Exquisite scenery, knowledgeable guide, delicious wine & food. Oliver is truly a treasure & has other food & cooking tours too. It’s a splurge you won’t regret!

Great food and wine tour - My husband and I had such a good time on this food and wine tour! We enjoyed fresh oysters from the sea and wine tastings from two different wineries. At the second winery we enjoyed a delicious meal handmade from the family who runs the winery. Oliver was an excellent guide, providing details on Croatian history and taking photos for us!
