• Scuba Libre Scuba Diving Playa del Carmen Riviera Maya - These two dives provide an incredible opportunity to closely observe Caribbean Bull Sharks as they glide over the sandy bottom in approximately 70 feet/23 meters of crystal-clear water. Many of the bull sharks in Playa are female, with several being pregnant, and some have even given birth in the area. This is currently the only known bull shark gathering along Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula. Shark enthusiasts should not miss this opportunity! While shark sightings cannot be guaranteed, as they are part of marine life, the number of sightings is typically very high during the winter months.

The meeting time is at 8 a.m. at the dive center, where paperwork will be completed, and equipment will be prepared or fitted if rented. After a thorough briefing, participants will board just a few meters from the dive shop. A short 5-minute navigation will take you to the shark point, the first dive site. A drift dive will lead you to a sandy bottom where the sharks often appear, offering a unique way to observe these animals in their natural habitat and appreciate nature’s perfection. After a surface interval, the second, shallower dive (36 feet/12 meters) will take place over a coral reef, where an additional encounter is still possible.

An awe-inspiring adventure awaits, bringing you up close with magnificent bull sharks. Participants will have the opportunity to swim alongside eight or more sharks, many of which are pregnant females that visit the area each winter to give birth.
