A walk up the Vesuvius to see the crater - The views were amazing. Mario our guide was funny, very helpful and was always at hand to answer our questions. He told us not only about the Vesuvius but pointed out the otger volcanos in the area. He talked to us about other points of interest in Naples and also Amalfi and Ravello that we may be interested in.

We didn't make it up the mountain but Askos were great - Sometime the real quality of a company is judged by how it deals with situatuons when they don't quite go to plan. The trip today was cancelled due to (very) bad weather. The guide made sure the crater was open before we departed (it wasn't). We were kept up to date by Askos and the refund was prompt and efficient. They have even sorted out a replacement visit. We'll done.

Mt. Vesuvius - Mario, our tour guide, was absolutely amazing! I recommend going with him if you can. He was very knowledgeable on the history.

Brilliant, informative tour. - Thank you Askos Tours. Easy to find guides, A small group, and an information filled trip on the mini bus. Mario was amazing. Endless information about Mount Vesuvius, the surrounding areas and the islands. Little breaks to be given information on the walk up and a Geologist to fill the brain a little more. Don't hesitate, book!!

Book now.. Incredible tour and guides. - Just brilliant.. Mario.. Our Vesuvius guide was just the best. Easy to find the tour guides at the pompeii ruins entrance and as a group we walked to the square to get the mini bus. Perfect size small group of 15 people.
The knowledge shared by Mario about this incredible volcano, the local area and islands close by was more than I ever thought that I would learn. Throw in a geologist on the volcano as well and you literally have so much knowledge. Definitely worth every penny.

amazing! - great experience - our guide Mario was very knowledgeable and gave us lots of information and history about Vesuvius. the tour itself was great, easy to find them & get to the minibus. once there, Mario took us up the mountain and stopped every so often to give us more information (and a quick breather!!). the timing spent on the tour was perfect, you get to see it all & get lots of info so really worth the money. would definitely recommend this!

You were super, Mario! - Mario was great! He provided interesting info on the ride to Vesuvius from Pompeii. When we were hiking, he acknowledged all ages and fitness levels. The pace was perfect. On the mountain, he continued to point out fascinating volcanic formations. The hike was a highlight of my time in Pompeii.

Top of Vesuvius - Our walk to the top was hailing and cold ...but we were wrapped up, ready, the clouds cleared up and the visibility of the bottom of the volcano was 100%. Our guide "Mario" was knowledgeable, quite polite and bit timid. He was concern about our well-being and told everyone to not get lost as he's never lost anyone ever. Kudos to his concern.
