Great guide - The guide was immensely knowledgeable, providing background and context prior to our arrival and continuing to deepen our understanding as we walked through the fortress and ghetto. He added a lot to our visit.

An extraordinary experience learning about a very dark chapter in history - We scheduled our tour to Terezin for the day after our tour of Prague's Jewish quarter, which worked out very well. This was an extraordinary experience, led by Pavel, a historian who is also an excellent tour guide. He drove a small group of us (5) through the Terezin camp and provided vivid facts and commentary about this hellish place, which today appears to be a small, peaceful community. I had never been to a concentration camp and thought it was far past time to do so. While this was intended to be more of an internment camp, the horrors that Pavel described in such great detail made it clear that many, many people had been tortured and executed here. Pavel provided both details and context about what was happening before, during, and after WWII. I am tempted to use the word "fascinating," but "terrifying" is a better term in this case. We're indebted to Pavel for his historical research and for sharing with us an awful chapter in humanity's existence. We'll never, ever forget what we learned and look forward to reading one of Pavel's several books on Terezin or hearing his lecture when he comes to the Washington, D.C., area. Many thanks.

Knowledge and respect key to the tour - This was a comprehensive tour of the Terezin internment camp, Jewish cemetery, crematorium and ghetto museum in the town. Our guide Peter had brilliant knowledge and a respectful manner and was keen to share his knowledge and answer questions. Well worth doing the tour. Learnt a lot.

Remarkable sobering experience - We had a wonderful guide who filled us in on a lot of Czech. History as we drove to Terezín. I had not known of the Czech resistance during the war but now I want to know more. He also told us the story of Helga Weiss, a child who survived Terezín and several other camps. I bought her book at the Museum, and I can hardly put it down!

Review - The tour was amazing and very informative. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and even went so far as to recommend some books on the things he told us about. The tour itself was of the Terezin small fortress, the crematorium, and a quick visit to the Jewish Ghetto. While sad, this tour gave a wonderful insight into the lives of Jewish individuals during the war. Our guide was also fluent in numerous languages and even went out of his way to secure a translated booklet for one of the people who spoke French, and helped find a wallet one of the other participants misplaced. Be prepared to do some walking, the camp is rather large.

Informative and thought provoking - An informative and thought provoking afternoon. Our guide Sophie was so knowledgeable and we learned so much about the area even before we arrived at Terezin. We had a fully guided tour of the small camp, then travelled into the town to visit the ghetto museum. We saw the propaganda film made by the Nazi’s fooling the Red Cross into thinking the treatment of the Jews was humane and art work showing the truth.

Good, but frustrating - We booked this tour with our elderly parents (in their 70s). These are the pros and cons: Pros: Price is good for what you get: guide, transport and three locations (camp, museum, incinerator/cemetery location Cons: 1. It was very rushed 2. The guide at the camp was very hard to understand and we didn't have the opportunity to see things outside of the one hour tour (which is a quite a bit). 3. The tour at the camp was only one hour 4. 15 minutes at the museum (third stop) was frustrating. Needs at least 45 minutes (and that is rushing) 5. This tour is advertised as six hours. It is only five. Recommendations: Start this tour one hour earlier
