On this journey, you’ll get the chance to explore the most significant and renowned Czech spa. History traces the origin of this town back to Emperor Charles IV in 1358 when he constructed a hunting lodge in the area. The town boasts of 12 prominent hot springs with an approximate temperature of 72°C, with Vridlo standing out amongst them.
As you stroll along the Tepla River and the grand Neo-Renaissance colonnades, you can sample various mineral waters and buy keepsakes. Karlovy Vary prides itself on its local porcelain and glass production industry. The products are showcased at a designated exhibition and available for sale in specialized stores. The spa has been frequented by numerous monarchs and artists, including Goethe, Chateaubriand, Chopin, Beethoven, Brahms, and Dvorak. Following a lunch break (included), you can take a trip to the Moser glass factory and store.
Subsequently, you will proceed to the renowned Marianske Lazne, known for its healing springs.
