Easy peaceful walk & swim to waterfalls - This is a great choice for someone who doesn’t want the 45 minute uphill climb in the heat to the top of the 7 falls. Tony was an excellent guide walking me through the woods and crossing the river in 5 spots. Added bonus was that most people choose the uphill climb so he was my private guide, and it was a peaceful experience. I got to swim in the bottom pool under the lowest waterfall for a while with no one else around. If you want to climb the ladder and jump or slide down you can. This park gets really crowded, so booking with a small group through Puerto Plata Adventures made it an experience of nature rather than of crowds. Also want to recognize Rosie for great communication in allowing me, a non-cruise passenger, to sign up. The cruise port and ship timing gets complicated and she was very attentive to keep me connected. Well done!

Excellent hike and waterfall experience with Alex and Puerto Plata Adventures. - Booked excursion with Puerto Plata Adventures rain forest trek. Alex was our guide--very professional, entertaining, and nonweldable regarding Dominican Republic history and current event. Motor coach was very comfortable and clean. From cruise terminal, arrived at national park after 20 min drive. National park was was well maintained with well marked trails and interesting vegetation. Alex guided our hike to the waterfall and swimming area. Not too strenuous. Water was refreshing, and sliding down waterwall was worth the trip. Highly recommend this tour organization (Puerto Plata Adventures) and greatly appreciate Alex's attentiveness and professionalism.

I loved Jordan !! he was phenomenal - I went on a tour with my best friend anna and Jordan as our tour guide ! He was super informative and kept us entertained the entire walk, “just 5 more Dominican minutes”. Come prepared with your own water shoes because the walk through the waterfall is treacherous. I love this company will definitely book again!!!

Alex with Puerto Plata Adventures is amazing - My girlfriend and I did this forest trek to natural swimming pool excursion through Shore Excursioneer. Alex with Puerto Plata Adventures was our tour guide. Alex was outstanding! He was extremely friendly and gave us time to ask questions and take pictures. We were the only ones doing the excursion, so we had a very good experience. Alex also went above and beyond by providing us complimentary snacks and drinks in the van on the way back from the excursion. My girlfriend also didn't have enough money to buy wet shoes for the excursion, so Alex paid for the wet shoes out of his own pocket. Excellent customer service! Good customer service is hard to find these days, so good customer service should be recognized and celebrated. I would definitely recommend Alex with Puerto Plata Adventures if you're looking for a fun/safe excursion. He'll take care of you while you're on vacation. Thanks a lot Alex! You made our time in the Dominican Republic memorable.

Good eco-tour with confusing expectations - If you don’t take the trek to the 7 waterfalls you’ll have a bit of down time. One couple with our group (of 8 ppl) took the 7-falls route and we waited quite a while for them to return. If we’d wanted to swim in the pool at the bottom after doing the bottom slide and taking pics we could have but it still left us with too much time in hand. Our part of the trek included more low water crossings and Jordan stopped several times to tell us about the trees and plants which those going to the upper pools didn’t get. All in all it was a good experience but not worth $80. I don’t know how they distinguished between those wanting the more eco-tour vs full hike to top and then jumping and sliding the whole 7.

Totally misrepresented description and much wasted time - We were a group of 5 adventuresome and well-travelled seniors. 1) The description did not reflect the level of difficulty on the walking paths and crossing the streams. The terrain was uneven and treacherous. 2) We waited endlessly in the van because 2 types of tours were put together. We waited significantly going and coming back. 3) The walk on the nature trail was exceedingly dragged out. We were told later that it was a very busy tour day and we had to be kept on the path to avoid jamming up at the final pool 4) The standing in place and minutia about plants and herbs was annoying and a time waster 5) When we reached the last pool we were surprised to find out that we had to retrace our steps and go back the way we came. ****On a positive note, our guide did everything that she could to ensure our safety. It was fortunate and a tribute to her that no one was injured. She lent a hand and gave a heads up at the many dangerous spots, especially in the streams. She had a timetable I'm sure that was negatively impacted by combining 2 differnet tours on the van and trying to keep the 'traffic' moving in both directions. She did a good job under the circumstances 6) When we arrived at the final pool, we were told we had to wait there for awhile before we could start back. I would not recommend this tour to anyone. We were told that there had been heavy rain and that the tours were very busy. The trip needs to be revamped, on a tighter schedule. We are longtime viator customers and taking a european tour this summer. we had expected to take viator trips. We expect a reply and some financial consideration for a wasted day. We have recommended viator to many friends and relatives over the years. Frances & Joseph Darpino

Trip from hell - The trip is not good who are older for people. You had to cross five streams where the rocks were hidden and the water was above your ankles. The rocks were slippery, a lot of women needed help crossing the streams. This strip needs an age notification of how dangerous it can be
