Gobustan Rock Art - Your tour begins with a car picking you up from the hotel. The first stop is Gobustan, an archaeological site located 56 km from Baku. You’ll visit the Gobustan Museum to gain insights into the area’s history, then drive to Rock Mountain to see the actual carvings. Discovered between 1939 and 1940, the site features over 3,500 human and animal paintings and various petroglyphs. The reserve showcases Mesolithic monuments, caves, springs, and carvings by primitive men on cave walls, rocks, and stones.
Mud Volcanoes - After Rock Mountain, you’ll visit the Mud Volcanoes. Transportation will switch to Soviet Lada cars. You can bring strong plastic bags to collect some mud, which is said to be good for the skin. After spending 10 minutes around the volcanoes, you’ll be transferred back to your car.
Bibi-Heybat Mosque - On the way back to the hotel, you’ll visit the Bibi-Heybat Mosque, known for its magnificent green interior and the first industrial oil well on Earth, opened in 1846. The mosque complex includes graves and tombs of revered individuals, including Ukema Khanum. The car will drop you off at the hotel or any desired location in the city.
