From the mountain pass’s summit, we gazed down upon a vast valley of endless terraced fields, exuding a charming beauty akin to a paradise glimpsed through the clouds. The fields spread across the land in a mosaic of yellow rice, green shoots, and brown mountain earth, with small houses nestled in between.
